Hi! I’m Lauren and I'd describe my personality as outgoing, kind, and happy. I like working with kids because I love their spirit and energy. I started working with kids when I was in middle school starting with younger family members. I continued to care for kids with different ages throughout high school. After high school, I worked a day camp for two summers, where I worked with ages 5-10. I also worked two winter camp breaks. I am also an aunt to a two year old girl and three boys, of ages 6, 12, and 13, who fill me with so much joy. I was also a nanny last summer for a 3 year old and 9 month old. While at school, I have been a nanny to a 2 1/2 year old as well. I am comfortable with changing diapers, preparing meals, cleaning around the house, doing laundry, or any other tasks to to help around the house and help the children. Throughout my extensive history with working with kids, I have grown my patience, I love to be fun and energetic with the kids, I love to engage with them creating a fun environment, and I have compassion for children. I am also licensed as a home health aide, first aid certified, and CPR certified. Additionally, I have my own transportation and I am comfortable with pets. In my spare time, I like to go on walks, listen to music, go on bike rides, and spend my time with family and friends. I am an upcoming senior at Indiana University. I am majoring in speech language pathology and hoping to work with children in my future!

Hello. My name is Laura & I'd love to be considered to care for your precious lil one. Prior to having my own children I enjoyed caring for other children of all ages. My goal in life was to be the best stay-at-home wife/mother I could be. I now have 3 beautiful happy young adults, 35, 33 & 29, one of whom has blessed me with two precious grandsons now 7 & 5. While my kids were young I also cared for other children so I could always be there for mine and help other parents who desired personal care & nurturing that is not always fully received at traditional daycare. When they got older, I began a career in Real Estate but found my true desire was still to care for others. I took a CNA class which afforded me the opportunity to care for the elderly which is also a passion of mine, however, I am not currently certified. I hope you'll choose me to continue my passion to care for your child as if my own. I can provide references for a number of families upon request. I've worked for a family with a child who had many medical issues and needed extra precautions taken for her immune system especially during the height of Covid-19. As part of training to be a CNA, I am aware of and still follow extensive hand washing & other sanitization methods to ensure the safety & health of your child, family and myself. Also, as part of my CNA training I studied CPR but I'm not currently certified but I intend to become certified asap. In addition, I have enjoyed nannying for different cultures & my grandsons are bi-racial so know that your child will be cared for the same as I would my own. When I Nanny for a family they become family to me. A family I was caring for unfortunately had to return their country yet we remain close to this day & still video chat & I'm hoping to accept their offer to visit their country some day & feel honored to have been invited to be a guest in their home. I would prefer to find a more extended opportunity to grow with a family either full time or part-time and/or for "date nights" and as needed as well. I am extremely flexible with my schedule & yours. If necessary, I’m able to travel with a family. I've been vaccinated for Covid & had my boosters, flu & pneumonia shot & other immunizations. I've also had my Tdap as I have cared for many infants & will continue to receive any/all scheduled vaccines & immunizations for the well being of your child & family. I am also a never-smoker.
