Hi there! My name is Remmington and I am a sophomore student at Purdue University. I am currently on a pre-law track, studying Law & Society and Political Science. While I am a full time student (and therefore cannot commit to full-time jobs), I have found that I have a bit more free time than I anticipated and would love to find a family or two to nanny and/or babysit with that time. I have been working with kids since I was young and started babysitting when I was 12. My senior year of high school I had an internship with an elementary school in a kindergarten classroom where I learned a lot about behavior management, teaching strategies, etc. that I would bring with me when it comes to caring for your children. This past summer I nannied for a family in my hometown that had a 3 month old and 2 year old. I absolutely ADORED this family and grew to love them as my own. (I try to see them when I go home because I miss them so much!) The mom worked from home so I also worked as a "mother's helper." I would really love to find another family like this where I can become a second pair of helping hands and get to be a part of your children's everyday lives in a positive way. I am interested in working with kids all ages and have experience with ages from 3 months to 12 years. When it comes to older children, I like to try and be like an "older sister" role and have fun with them doing activities that I know I enjoyed at their age (while also still being a figure of authority, of course). With younger kids, toddlers, and babes I am patient and affectionate and would give them the love they most definitely need as they navigate their new, big world. Caring for your children is my number one priority, but with extra time I might have while they are napping, occupied, etc., I try to tidy up as needed (dishes, wiping down counters, putting toys away). I also love to cook and am happy to do so for your children. I am also open to the occasional babysitting jobs whether it be date night or any other one-time need you might have.
