I've been working with children for almost 12 years. I absolutely love it. just seeing them grow into their personalities and discover who they are and the word around them. i love watching their face light up with they take that first step or finally achieve something they been practicing for along time. it just the small things that make me love working with kids like they just look at you and give you a big smile or when you walk in the door and they give you the biggest hug like they havent seen you in forever. I worked on fort Leavenworth CDC for 2 years left there to be a Nanny to 3 children for 7 years. when i stared the youngest wasn't even born yet. I only left the nanny job because they were getting older and didn't need me any more. I've been at my current daycare job for a year. I have done potty training, taught them how to eat, help with speech, and learn to walk. prep breakfast lunch and snack. put them down for naps. changed diapers, fed bottles, did house work like clean kitchen kids rooms, floors, i organized child's rooms. i took a class in sign language. handled a child with Down syndrome. DIABETES and Celiac Disease, even with a feeding tube. i planned activities good for the child's age group. during coved I had to help home school the child. took care of them when they were sick. took the kids and picked them up from school. took them to doctors' appointments, extra stuff like swim lessons, dance, therapy. Camps during the summer as the kids got older.

I am the fifth child of nine, so I have been brought up understanding how to take care of children within a wide age range. I have been babysitting for families since I was in 7th grade. The children I babysat ranged from one child to six under the age of 12! I now live with my sister, who has a 5-month-old daughter who I care for when she is busy. I also have two nephews under the age of 3 that I babysit regularly. I think children are incredibly fun, as well as extremely unique, keeping every day a new, interesting experience! I would love to be fulfilled in a job by knowing that I am doing, first off, something I love, but also something that I know I am good at.
