During my time at John Carroll, I was a member of the track and field team, a mentor, and a part of the Scholars service program as well. After graduating from college, I moved to California to pursue my doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Southern California. Life, however, had other plans and I now live in Kansas as I work towards my masters in Health, Sport Management and Exercise Science at KU. When it comes to my childcare experience, I have been caring for children for what seems like an eternity. I am the oldest of 3 girls, so I have helped care for my sisters since birth. I have a lot of hospital experience(NICU, med surge, radiology, vaccine clinic, behavioral health navigator at Children's Colorado Hospital, ect) My experience includes working as a doula, live-in nanny, infant care, and families of all ages and demographics. I work for the State of KS in Substance Abuse Prevention. A few things I do not do are cleaning, pet care, and watching children with disabilities. I am available to do children's laundry only. I am fully vaccinated and am comfortable not wearing a mask in home. Please let me know if you want me to wear a mask and I will happily do so. If anyone in the family gets COVID-19 and my hours are already guaranteed, I will expect payment for the time that is missed while the family member quarantines. I will not work at anyone's home who has had COVID within the last two weeks. I appreciate four hours as a minimum and to be paid directly after via venmo or cash. I have always enjoyed watching younger children and just seeing how every one of them is unique and different. I worked at an after school and summer camp program for 2 years throughout high school but have also babysat for family friends and have a younger sibling so I’ve had to babysit them as well. Another part of my history that is a bonus is that I have volunteered at a weekend autism camp for the past 5 years which has taught me a lot and helps me connect better with children on the spectrum.
