I have been caring for infants through school aged children for over 20 years as a nanny as well as in a center setting and genuinely enjoy being part of a child's development. I have my Child development associates certificate specializing in infant and toddler care, as well as countless hours of additional professional training. My teaching style is similar to that of the Montessori philosophy, and one that I hold dear to my heart-as I, myself, am a product of the Montessori Method. I am a true believer in nurturing a child's creativity and allowing them to learn through discovering the world around them. I also believe that learning by doing with proper guidance and understanding is the most positive way for a child to blossom. Every child is unique in the way he or she learns, plays, and develops; this being said, I feel every child should be treated uniquely. It is truly gratifying to me to have the opportunity to grow with a child through the years, and I value the importance of being close to, and working side by side with, the entire family. I am very positive and outgoing and love experiencing life. I enjoy taking walks- discovering the outdoors, reading, writing, music, and surrounding myself with loved ones. I am a very happy person, enjoying life to its fullest! These are all activities that I feel should be a part of any child's day. I am very dependable, trustworthy, and honest. I have a lot of energy, am very creative, extremely patient, and always look forward to starting my days with a child ready to explore their world! In my work with children, I have definitely learned-early on-that this is the only 'work' that doesn't feel like such at all, but rather what I truly love to do! Please let me know if you would like to speak further.

Hi there! I'm Anna :) I’m a 2025 graduate from North High with over a year of hands-on childcare experience — both volunteer and paid. I started through the FRC (Future Ready Center) program in a YMCA daycare inside my school. I rotated every other week through three rooms: infant, toddler, and preschool — giving me experience with kids from just a few weeks old up to Pre-K. In the infant room, I learned how to handle feedings, burping, diaper changes, and soothing techniques for babies with special needs, like those who were lactose intolerant or prone to spitting up. I knew how to position them so they could drink without discomfort, how to burp them properly, and how to calm them when they stiffened or cried. In the toddler room (ages 1–3), I helped the lead teacher and also made my own lesson plans through FRC assignments. I focused on toddler and preschool activities that were hands-on, simple, and helped build fine motor skills. Most of our learning was card-based — helping toddlers recognize objects, say new words, and grow their vocabulary. Think Ms. Rachel-style learning — because, honestly, her songs were our daily soundtrack! Wiggle time with songs like “The Bubble Gum Song” always brought big smiles. In the preschool room (ages 3–5), I supported early learning through crafts like handprint frogs and seasonal projects like pumpkins or Valentine hearts. I became especially good at adapting to each group. I created a sticker reward system that really worked — once one child earned one, others followed their lead with better behavior. During holidays, I’d quietly place suckers or small treats in each child’s cubby, rewarding kindness and cooperation in a fun, low-pressure way. It became a special tradition the kids looked forward to. Outside the daycare, I’ve also worked as a paid babysitter for family and friends, with kids of all ages — even in homes with big dogs (I have three myself!). I also have experience driving kids safely in my reliable car for errands, pickups, and drop-offs. I’m certified to work in a licensed daycare, have a full portfolio of age-appropriate activities, and genuinely love childcare. Even on the hardest days, as long as the kids are safe, smiling, and feeling cared for — that’s what matters most to me. I'd love to meet your family and be a creative, positive presence in your child’s life!

I have a passion for childcare, and aim to give children a calm and secure environment to grow and develop. My experiences in free and paid childcare have given me confidence in my capability to support parents in their mission to nurture their children. I also have experience with special needs children that has given me the patience and understanding to be able to support children of many different backgrounds through different stages of development. I believe in open and honest communication with parents. I love being able to send small updates on their child’s day, pictures, and videos. I also love catching up once the parents come home, and addressing any concerns that arise. I believe that children need and deserve safe and fun outlets to help them explore. I like to give children the opportunity to explore new experiences through crafts, board games, puzzles, and outdoor games. I enjoy bringing toys and activities of my own with me for the children to play with, it helps me understand what each child is naturally interested in. I currently work part time for the public library system and absolutely adore being able to share my love for literature with children. I encourage child-lead imaginative play and unstructured play, as well as developmentally appropriate learning activities. I enjoy doing crafts, and have taught classes and lead workshops where I instruct people (including young children) on how to do a variety of crafts. I think curious children are amazing. I truly love being able to help children understand new ideas and concepts! One of my favorite things to do with kids is talk about how different things work, how do plants grow, where animals go during winter etc. In my spare time I play guitar and have a love for all things music! I love exploring the outdoors, and think that fresh air is something most of us don't get enough of! I put a lot of emphasis on intentionally and understanding in my childcare. I love being able to support kids in learning how to manage and safely express their big feelings. I view every challenging moment as a learning opportunity and a chance for the children to gain a new skill. I love being able to partner with parents and work together with children. I would love to discuss working with your family! Sincerely, Sage
