Just moved into our first home in Crittenden, KY. I have always loved kids & just a few years ago I received my CDA (Child Development Associates). I have worked at two childcare centers. I was a lead teacher in the first one and then an assistant turned into lead teacher at my second one. The age groups I am specialized in are toddlers & infants. That’s what I tend to stick to in a daycare setting but have experience with ages 6weeks to 14 years old (including children with special needs). I’ve always been the family & friends’ babysitter & would babysit kids at my daycare as well!

Hello all, my name is Sydney and I am currently a college sophomore. I am looking for a summer sitting position for the months of May through early August. I have worked with children since highschool, and I truly enjoy being able to create an energetic and safe environment with children! I am able to offer tutoring/educational experiences as well as cleaning and maintenance throughout the day. I have been employed at summer camps and after school programs previously, so I have many activities in mind to keep children engaged through the summer. I am also able to drive, so I am willing to take children out for activities or complete drop-off/ pick up. Please reach out if you have any questions!

I'm Ms. Chloe, I have a love for plants, anything gardening, all kinds of music, cooking and a hiker. I love to enjoy the outdoors with my kids. I also have a Zoo and Museum membership that children can join me to. I have been working with children since I was 16 and center based for the last 8 years. I began center based childcare with my son at Crossroads christian church. I have been running my inhome daycare for the last 3 years. I am CPR certified and trained for my Child Development Achievement, food handlers safety and state licensing training. I specialize in infants and toddlers. I give my children a balance of free play and guided play with a lot of music. I have experience doing household duties, preparing meals and taking care of pets. I try to get my children active and outside as much as we can. Hopefully I can be helpful for your family.

My name is Dakota, and I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, near Boston. I’ve been working with children since the day I could remember. I’ve always loved the joy children give when they get so excited. In 2023 I moved to Florida to cut the long distance with my husband and be closer to him and even closer to the family I had down there. I loved going to the beach and having the warm weather every day, but soon realized that’s not where I want to raise my future family. We decided to come closer to his family who is from Northern Kentucky, but still have that city feel. I’m excited where this new adventure will take us. I started my childcare journey as a “babysitter” at my local church in New Hampshire. When I was 13(ages 1-5). I then volunteered (not getting paid) at an elementary school for an after-school program for a year. I got hired to work all throughout high school (14-18). ages (5-12). After I graduated high school, I was working at a preschool as the 1-year-old teacher while taking classes to get my degree in Early Childhood Education. (on pause right now with classes but will be taking virtual classes in the future). I worked there for about 2 years then worked as a nanny for a 5-month-old. I was feeding, changing, putting down for naps and doing lots of activities. Then I moved to Florida and started working as a 2-year-old teacher at a private school, worked there for 5 months and decided nannying was what I wanted to do. I found a family and was with them for almost a year, she was five years old! I picked her up from school, bring her to actives she has for that day if she doesn’t have anything we’ll go to the park or do an activity if it’s nice outside! then go back home do some educational workbooks or a craft. cook dinner, do bath and put to bed! Now I have moved to Lexington Kentucky with my Husband to be closer to his family. I’m excited to see where this new adventure goes! I think what makes me a great babysitter/ nanny is that I’m always prepared for what’s to come. I’ve worked with every age possible in different settings. I’ve been in the classroom in public school, in a private school, daycares and being a nanny staying at someone’s house. I’m always ready for the next activity, I always have different activities and crafts planned out and ready to go!

Why i love sitting jobs is because i love building bonds and connections;I have past experience with watching family members or family friends’ kids and i enjoyed it so much! I also have experience taking care of kids with special needs; my little brother has cerebral palsy so i am quite familiar with ways to take care of a child with special needs. Some things that set me apart from other potential candidates is that i am a very patient person and i think that is what you really need when it comes to taking care of someone; in my eyes that is a big factor. Another thing is kindness; which truly goes hand in hand with patience. As training and certification goes; I have many younger siblings that i have taken care of over the past years and so i feel i have taught myself and picked up a few things over the years if other experienced sitters. And for certifications, i am currently working on getting CPR certified and first aid certified. I am also currently learning ASL as my little brother is non-verbal and i want to learn for him and others.
