I have been babysitting, nannying, and pet-sitting for about 12 years now. I have experience caring for children ages 1 month - 15 years, with and without learning and behavioral disabilities such as speech delays, autism, and anxiety. Hello! I am Akira Harper. I am one of five children in my family, so I have learned to operate amongst chaos. I am currently a research assistant, working towards getting my PhD in STEM Education and Teacher Development at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, so my schedule is somewhat flexible. Starting at a young age, I have always worked with children and started by looking after my siblings. I've been currently working with children with and without disabilities, since high school and I love it. I am quick to learn and face every challenge head on!
