I am a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated nanny and babysitter with over 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I truly enjoy reading with children, preparing simple and healthy meals, and keeping a clean, comfortable, and organized home environment. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and children’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I am available for full-time nanny positions, babysitting, overnight care, and weekends, and I am flexible to support families when they need extra help. I speak English, Mandarin, Hindi, Nepali, Tibetan, and the Amdo dialect, and I love creating a calm, positive space where children feel safe, supported, heard, and happy. I am a non-smoker, do not drink alcohol, and have no history of drug use. Thank you 🤗

Hello, I prefer to be addressed as Nikki, and I am a certified emergency medical technician. What sets me apart! 1. I have 15 years of professional experience working with children ranging from newborns to teenagers. 2. My passion for caring for children is profound. I have worked with approximately 55 families with another child care agency outside of and I have developed strong bonds with the 19 repeated families (out of the 55 families), often being considered part of their families. 3. As long as you need my services, I will always show up! I am committed to the families I assist. I am honest, patient, nurturing, protective, attentive, and responsible. I don’t just see this as a gig! Every child who is under my care is treated with respect and love. 4. I emphasize the importance of active learning and play over screen time. My approach is both interactive and engaging, as I enjoy organizing fun and educational activities, including but not limited to, arts and crafts, at home play, trips to the library, museums, and parks, language development for infants and homework assistance for school age children. Also, I offer support with light housekeeping and meal preparation centered around the children to ensure the household runs smoothly. In addition, I engage in various activities with the children. FOR INFANTS/NEWBORNS, I prioritize language exposure which involves reading to them, teaching vocabulary and sounds, and using visual aids like pictures and colors. I also assist with sleep training, bathing, feeding, and diaper changes. FOR TODDLERS, I support potty training, promote speech development, conduct spelling exercises, read books, teach phonics and writing, and introduce basic numbers and math concepts. 5. I pride myself on being an effective communicator. I prioritize open communication with the parents and children to foster a positive and trusting relationship. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to provide exceptional care for your children.

I really enjoy kids! They are naturally authentic and interested in the world. I studied Math and Education in college, and got teaching experience in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to high school. I got certified to teach secondary math, and went on to do a year of Americorps service after college. I moved to Boston in 2007 and began babysitting until I figured out what was next. I enjoyed what I was doing so much that I went on to become a full time nanny the following year. I worked for three years for a family with three children- ages 2, 5, and 7 when I started. After the youngest was off to kindergarten, I took a new position, a nanny share caring for two 2-year old girls. I’ve also babysat for multiple families over the years ranging from overnights with infant twins to school vacation help for 12-year olds. I taught the preschool class at my church for 5 years as well. In October 2012, I had a daughter of my own! I began bringing her along to babysitting/ nanny positions, which worked out quite well. In 2019, after working as a nanny/ babysitter for 12 years, I transitioned to teaching. I worked as an assistant in a combined Pre-K/Kindergarten class for four years before becoming the lead teacher of a separate Pre-K class. I had another daughter in January 2024 and am currently exploring the possibility of a babysitting position where I can bring my 1-year old daughter along.

With two decades of experience sitting for newborns through teens, I am available primarily for a position that has evening or weekend hours, though can do some daytime hours as well. I am outgoing, engaged, and safety conscious. I also communicate openly and timely with families. Though happy to work with all ages, I have worked most extensively with infants and toddlers. I am also a licensed foster parent through DCF, providing short term foster care for infants up to the age of two years old. My parenting is re-evaluated and re-accredited annually.

Are you looking for an occasional sitter? A summertime sitter? I’m a full time art teacher during the school year. I’m seeking occasional sitting positions and summer time sitting positions. Perhaps you need a date night or just need an occasional night out. I have CPR, first aid and epi pen training. I have raised my son who is 20 and a very mature young man. I also raised 2 step daughters who are now adults with children of their own. I had been a lifeguard when I was 16, of course all that training is expired, but I feel that those life experiences stay with you. I look forward to hearing from you. I am vaccinated for Covid-19

Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile. As someone who spends all day learning and growing alongside children and adolescents, I'd love to find a great family to support on my evening/weekends. Currently, I am in the process of completing an Ed.M. in school psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Prior to this degree, I worked as a family counselor and K-5 science/teaching associate at schools here in Manhattan as well as in sunny Menlo Park, CA. I also have prior experience as a nanny for two great families in Boston and San Francisco with children ranging from K-6th grade. Oh and, I can hold my own in Spot It and special character voices for books at bedtime :-). Looking forward to meeting your family!
