I have an Infant Toddler Certificate, a Special Needs Certificate, an A.S. degree in Early Childhood Education a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology and some graduate school course work in Social Work. I'm seeking a part-time position and can provide excellent references upon request. See my 5 star reviews. Although I clean up the kitchen after meals and toys after play, my focus is childcare and I do not provide housekeeping, laundry or errands. I am also equipped to provide childcare in my home and live in a safe, quiet neighborhood. I have toys, books, a comfortable play space, a quiet nap space, music, movies, etc. I can also provide snacks, diaper changes and potty training. See my 5 star reviews. Thank you. Hello! My name is Salimah. I have worked on and off in childcare for about 10 years. My experience includes working with infants, toddlers, and school aged children. My most extensive experience has been with infants and toddlers. My formal experience includes working in a daycare setting, home daycare, and most recently (before my temporary move out of state) working for a larger Childcare Agency that serves families in and around the Boston Area who are in need of last minute reliable childcare. I pride myself in my gentle and nurturing approach to childcare, along with patience, as I understand the transition period as a child adjust to being cared for by someone who they are unfamiliar with. Some of the duties I provide as an experienced caregiver includes: Supporting children's emotional and social development by guiding children through engaging and productive activities to a foster fun learning environment, whilst using positive reinforcement and behavior modeling.Open and clear communication with parents about daily activities, behaviors, and meals/sleep logs.Organized and planned age-appropriate reading, crafts and other engaging activities to encourage creativity and expression. Sanitized toys and tables to maintain a clean, safe environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading , sewing, studying herbalism, gardening, and traveling. I am available to provide both long term and short term care for families. I’m looking forward to finding the next family that I’ll be working with, whether it be short term, long-term, or just a one-time booking. It’s important that we both feel we’re the right match for one another, so I appreciate you taking the time to read through my bio. I hope to connect soon!

I would like to have it noted that Salimah is an awesome nanny/babysitter! We are so pleased with everything she has done for our nine year old while watching him recently. She was able to really keep our son focused on fun, learning activities, games, drawing, some creative cooking. Things that were not just video game oriented. She was able to limit that which was great. And we just couldn't be happier with her attitude, her punctuality and flexibility. I highly recommend her as a babysitter.

My husband and I hired Naiana to be a nanny for our 4month old right as I was returning to work after Maternity Leave. It was an anxious time for me, but I felt so reassured with Naiana! She is wonderful with babies and Sophia immediately felt comfortable with her. She has aided in Sophia’s development through play, singing, sleep training and movement. In the early days she was so good at getting Sophia down for a nap and feeding her bottles when she would only take bottles from my husband and I. She also would wash bottles and fold the baby’s laundry while Sophia was napping, which was such an amazing help to me. Now that Sophia is 9months old, I can see the love that Sophia has for Naiana, as every morning Sophia has the biggest smile as soon as Naiana walks in the door! I strongly recommend hiring Naiana and I feel so lucky to have her as a part of Sophia’s life!

Marcela has been the best nanny for our 8 month old son - she is very patient with him, she plays with him all day, sings to him, and she was able to connect with him from day 1. She is truly reliable, very friendly and professional. We are very happy to have hired Marcela and would recommend her to all parents.

We hired Dolma as the nanny for our 2.5 year old twin daughters and she cared for them during the work days for a 4 month period. She was extremely punctual, consistently coming in about 10 mins earlier than the actual start time. It was very clear that she was full of love for the twins and genuinely cared for them. Her cooking/feeding strategy worked really well with both our daughters. She also kept to our set routine which helped a lot. Most importantly, the twins really bonded with her loved having her. I recommend Dolma to anyone looking for a nanny.

I hold a degree in Child Development and Early Childhood Education and have extensive experience working with children. From 2009 to 2019, I taught preschool-aged children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and personalized care. In 2019 and 2021, I worked as a Head Camp Counselor at a Girl Scout Camp, where I planned and led programs to create a fun and enriching environment. In 2022, I was promoted to Program Manager at the camp, further expanding my leadership and organizational skills. Additionally, I have hands-on experience as a nanny for two children, ages 2 and 4, and babysat for a family with a toddler from 2022 until the end of January. My responsibilities include preparing simple meals, assisting with potty training, and keeping the child engaged through indoor and outdoor activities. During the spring I babysat a one year old a few times. This summer I have been babysitting a six and ten year old. I also babysat 20 month year old twins a few times recently. Working with children has always been my passion, and I am currently seeking a babysitting position a few days during the week with preschool or elementary-aged children. My goal is to provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for the children in my care.

Stephanie has come over a few times to help me with my 13mo old daughter while I work from home. Stephanie is incredibly sweet and polite and plays so well with her. I was truly impressed with how well my daughter took to her as she hasn't had many sitters at all, they played so well together while I worked and I appreciate her help so much. I would consider Stephanie very reliable.

I have been working in childcare since 2017, primarily in center-based environments, where I have held lead teacher positions throughout my career. Working with children has always been something I’m deeply passionate about, and I have experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to school-aged children. In addition to my childcare background, I took some time to expand my professional experience by working as a retail technology manager on Newbury Street in Boston. That role strengthened my leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, all of which I bring into my work with children and families. After stepping away to enjoy maternity leave with my own baby, I am now looking for a wonderful family to support through babysitting or nannying. Ideally, I’m seeking a position that would allow me to bring my child along two days per week as part of the schedule. I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, engaging, and dependable environment for children, and I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with both kids and parents alike. I am caring, patient, reliable, and experienced, and I truly enjoy helping children learn, grow, and thrive.
