Hello parents! My name is Valerie, I am 30 years old and live in Somerville, MA. I have extensive childcare experience and I will do my best to share the condensed version. Buckle up, I started a babysitters club in high school and never looked back. Being trusted to care for children has been a gift and a job I don't take lightly. I do my best to provide a loving, patient, and playful approach. I practice a mix of positive discipline and the Montessori method. A little about my work experience. I have 6 years of preschool teaching experience and 15 years of professional childcare experience. I have provided before/after school care, overnight care, traveled abroad long term, live in and live out, and most recently ran a nanny share with two toddlers and two babies. I've spent the last 9 summers working at an overnight camp in Vermont with young girls and boys. In my time at camp I've worked in the Wilderness department teaching hard skills, High ropes course, Archery, and led trips in the White Mountains.
