Hi! I’m Iyana 😊 I’m a graduate student at Bowie State University with over 5 years of experience caring for children ages 4 months to 12 years. I’ve worked with infants through elementary-aged kids and also spent a year and a half teaching 8th grade, including supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. I really enjoy babysitting because every child is different, and I love getting to know each child’s personality, interests, and routines. I’m comfortable with transportation, sleep training/bedtime routines, and I’m very pet-friendly. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are playing board games, karaoke, going on walks or hikes, and cooking together. I always aim to create a fun, safe, and relaxed environment for both kids and parents.

Hello dear Parents: I am seeking full time or part-time position. Also, I am available on weekends or as needed. For the last 7 years I have been caring little ones from infants to pre-kindergarteners and elementary kids. I also enjoyed thoroughly working with first time parents caring for little bundles of joy. My last experiences are 15 weeks and 4 and 2-months old babies and now are years old or in preschool. My duties as a nanny are to feed (I can prepare food from scratch) their bottles of formula or breastmilk, change diapers, put them for naps, sleep training. I also play with the baby's toys to encourage them to grasp their toys and mentioning to them the colors, names, and sounds to promote cognitive development. I also put babies in tummy time so that their neck muscles get stronger day by day for later to roll over, sit up, and crawl. I have prepared healthy meals, and I am very organized and like to be active with the kids. I also help them to get ready for bed and wait until parents arrive from work. I currently have Child Development Certification, SIDS, CPR and AED certified as well. Thanks for reading my profile. Ysabel

Ysabel was an amazing sitter for my newborn baby girl. She was attentive and interactive in keeping my baby entertained, had great communication skills, and accommodated my schedule. I will continue to use her down the line.

I am a 33 year old Early Childhood Major, who graduated from Georg Mason University with both my bachelors and masters in Education, and have a license to teach Pre-Kindergarten through Third Grade. I have received my Career Studies Certificate and my Infant and Toddler Certificate as well back in my days at NVCC. Back during my summers in high school I volunteered at the Thurgood Marshall Child Development Center in DC. I did over 500 hours there working in the toddler room, and occaisionally the Pre-K room. For a brief period during my college studies I also worked at the Cody Child Development Center on Fort Myer in the infant, toddler, and pre-k rooms. I have also consistently had my training in CPR/First Aid. I have babysat in many home settings now and would love to work with a new family! I live near Fair Oaks and would prefer to work for a family in the area if possible but if not that’s ok too! I do have a car so driving is not an issue.

Anita was incredible and far exceeded our expectations. She had everything my wife and I were praying for in a nanny. She was caring, respectful, timely, kind, and more. Our son fell in love with her, as did we. Because of her, he developed a range of new skills, including new words. We recommend Anita to any family that needs a kind, genuine, punctual and respectful person caring for their little one.

I am a career nanny living in Washington DC. I have over 15 years of childcare experience with kids of all ages (including infants), needs, and multiples. I have lots of down time in the summer months and looking to fill my time with part-time sitting gigs. I love being creative and laughing with kids. Some of my hobbies include cooking, baking, playing musical instruments, dancing, playing sports, traveling, and reading. I’ve been playing the violin since the age of 5 and dancing for nearly as many years. I have a B.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Clemson University. I can help with meal prep, homework (any grade), and light housekeeping as well. I am CPR certified, a strong swimmer, and have intermediate knowledge of American Sign Language and French. I have lots of last minute and daytime availability!

Kennedy is wonderful. She is so communicative and responsive, and a really sweet and kind person. We have had her assist with our baby boy a couple times now and definitely recommend her! She is very attentive to him and he is perfectly happy snuggling up with her and hanging out. She is a natural with children and definitely someone you can rely on and trust with you kiddos. Very easy to work with and a lifesaver when it comes to childcare so far!

Faith was a godsend for our family. She was reliable, professional, and in-tune with our daughter's needs. She was never late and was always flexible with us. We trusted her to care for our daughter the same way we would and she more than delivered on that. Faith took detailed notes of each day so we were always on the same page. Faith proved herself a superb caretaker, cultivating a wonderful relationship with our daughter. We are saddened we could not keep her longer, but we are moving away. Faith is an excellent choice for those in need of quality care.

As a teenager and babysitter I knew I wanted to work with children but as a pediatric doctor, But once I took Child development classes and parenting it really opened my eyes to another interest and that was being a early childhood education teacher. taking these classes I learned a lot about a parent perspective and childcare teachers as well in certain situations also along with being a teacher studying the different methods and also hands on experience on writing lesson plans and actually interacting with the children. By my senior year I did an internship at a child care facility to experience how a center is ran and the interaction with the children and teachers. After I graduated I worked for Kindercare Learning Center over a year, Children Of America almost 3 years, and a privately owned daycare for over a year before I recently decided to help local families who need care for their children.

Hi! I have always loved working with children as it is one of my passions. I am patient, caring, and sympathetic. I am also a lot of fun! I am fluent in French and I love to teach it to younger kids. I have several years of experience in childcare as I worked at a day care center over a few summers, and I have also volunteered at many childcare centers. I am the oldest of 3 sisters which has taught me a lot about what it means to care for others. So if you're looking for a trustworthy sitter that will care for your child, look no further!
