I just retired as a tenured professor and I want to engage in that which I have always most enjoyed; working with children 3-6 years old. I was a single mother who always had my son and his pals with whom I engaged in the most rewarding activities of discovery with them, be it reading with them, doing nature hikes, giving them pony rides (we live on a horse farm), or taking them to museums. I am very physically fit, ride three times a week, hike, and swim weekly. I am a mother to a wonderful almost 6 year old. I have always been the one to help out in the nursery at church and help with friends and family that needed help. Most of my experience has been caring for close family and friends so much of my experience has not been paid. I love providing enrichment activities and watching how children learn and the light bulb goes off. I have a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences, which was an emphasis of Occupational Therapy as that was my goal to complete the combined Masters of OT with that.
