My name is Jennifer Lee. I was born in Korea and came to PA when I was just 1 years old. I am the youngest of three girls and have always had a passion for kids, even when I was just a kid myself! I always longed to have a younger sibling and am now eagerly waiting to become an aunt! In the summer of 10th grade, I had the opportunity to go into childcare and was able to transfer to home school to continue being in childcare, and my passion for children has only ever grown! I have been a paid nanny and sitter for 8yrs working with children mainly 3 months to 5 years. I have fortunately had the opportunity to be apart of their lives and see them learn, grow, and develop into their own unique personalities. That is a genuine level of pure innocence, candidness, and joy that only children can bring and we don't always have the opportunity to witness or encounter that in the adult world!! I've always been a caretaker at heart, but working with children continues to humble and remind me to be grateful and to enjoy the simplicities in life because it really is all around us and it's our responsibility to keep our hearts open to be able to see it and share it. I believe in sharing kindness, being loving, genuine, caring, patient, and open with everyone as we all have differences and a subconscious thinking, and that is what makes us unique and similar. We all have past experiences that shape us into who we are and it is not our responsibility to judge them, but to just stay true to our morals and character and do what is best for ourselves. I understand that it's never easy to leave your children in someone else's care. I will work to keep communication open and be as transparent as possible. I have no concerns with inside surveillance, whether it is stated or unstated, as I understand the importance of having security and peace of mind when you're bringing someone new into your home and putting your children's well being into their hands. I do my best to follow all guidelines given for the type of childcare that is requested, no matter how specific or particular! The more information, the more I would be able to understand the dynamic and structure of the home. I just ask for some understanding in knowing that I may not be able to mirror and respond to situations in the exact way that the parent would as daily events can be situational, but everything I do will truly be with the children's well being (physically, mentally, and emotionally) as my top priority!

As a dedicated childcare provider, I am passionate about fostering bright futures and nurturing individuals of all backgrounds. With a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies, focusing on Human Ecology, and currently pursuing my Master’s in Human Ecology with a specialization in Child Development, I bring both educational knowledge and practical experience to my role as a nanny. I have over 5 years of experience working in various childcare settings, including schools and private homes, where I've developed a deep understanding of children's needs. My previous roles have included teaching 1st grade at Loftin Love Academy, where I created engaging lesson plans and fostered an inclusive atmosphere for all students. In addition to my teaching experience, I have provided childcare through Sittercity, managing schedules, planning activities, and supporting children with individualized education plans (IEPs). I also worked as a Mental Health Worker at Sheppard Pratt, helping vulnerable individuals thrive through encouragement and support. I hold certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid, and I am committed to promoting safety and well-being in every interaction. I believe in creating fun, educational, and supportive environments for children, where they can learn, grow, and express themselves. I am excited to bring my skills and compassionate approach to families, ensuring a nurturing and enriching experience for children.

I began my journey as a caregiver at my Bible school study camp. I worked with infants and children ages 1-5. My hours were 9-5 Monday through Friday, I was in a classroom of 12 kids with 3 adults. Throughout the day we did group activities, in building field trips, lunch and snack time, and nap time, some days we would go outside on the playground. I also worked as a camp counselor/ swim instructor at the YMCA. As a camp counselor I worked with kids aged 4-8 5 days a week. We had organized activities throughout the day such as sports, crafts and games, and I taught swim lessons 3 times a day. On the weekends and after came I would give private swimming lessons to kids. Throughout all of my experience at the YMCA I was able to watch kids grow and develop skills, and I loved playing apart of setting and accomplishing their goals. The second camp I was another camp counselor at was called kids after hours. This camp was a great expierence because we took elaborate field trips every other day. By being in charge of groups of kids in public taught me a lot about how important being able to communicate with kids is to keep everyone happy and safe. My most recent experience with childcare is that I was a regular babysitter for a family with 2 children. I would watch them when they had days off of school and on their parents date nights. We loved to play games around the house, go to the park, build forts and read. I cared for them by entertaining, cooking, cleaning up and making sure overall, that they felt safe and comfortable. I enjoy and am good at working in fast pace environments, I'm used to the unpredictable it keeps me on my feet. I also would be more then happy to help with light house keeping such as laundry, dishes, and just keeping things clean and organized!
