Hi my name is Shelby and I’ve worked as a caregiver/ teacher for 5 years! I worked at an early learning center for 2 and a half years where I obtained my infant and toddler, preschool, and school age certifications. As well as my cpr and first aide. I left 3 years again to become a nanny and preschool teacher to a family with 2 kids and I successfully got them ready for school and they started this year! As a teenager and babysitter I knew I wanted to work with children but as a pediatric doctor, But once I took Child development classes and parenting it really opened my eyes to another interest and that was being a early childhood education teacher. taking these classes I learned a lot about a parent perspective and childcare teachers as well in certain situations also along with being a teacher studying the different methods and also hands on experience on writing lesson plans and actually interacting with the children. By my senior year I did an internship at a child care facility to experience how a center is ran and the interaction with the children and teachers. After I graduated I worked for Kindercare Learning Center over a year, Children Of America almost 3 years, and a privately owned daycare for over a year before I recently decided to help local families who need care for their children.
