Hello, my name is Savannah Kennedy and I live in the southern maine area. I have always had a passion to care and watch over children, which is what peaked my interest in nursing for the pediatric population. Currently I am a Junior nursing student at UMaine with a valid license and CPR, CNA certification. I have experience with infants to teenage ages, and can provide sick care as well as help with potty training. I also worked as a pet care taker for four years, so animals are no problem for me! I am looking for sitting opportunities for the summer, my schedule is pretty open and I am looking for either a nannying position with set days of the work or a sitter need once and a while. I am an enthusiastic and very patient caregiver, with a particular joy in working with little ones. I have worked in day cares, taught co-op classes to home schooled students of all ages, and raised five children of my own. I also ran a licensed day care in my home for 3 boys ages 18 months, 2 and 4 yrs. I have expertise in musical interaction and hands-on learning. I provided daily educational stimulation in game playing (indoors and out), Crafts, story reading and serving nutritious meals and snacks. As a Nanny, I have cared for two families with toddlers. Care involved diaper changes, meals, naps, story time, educational playtime, and outings. I am CPR certified and trained in First Aid as of February 2024.

I have 2 boys of my own ages 11 and 18. I have cared for children in my home and theirs and I’ve worked at a couple daycares. I have experience with newborn to young adults with special needs. I also have experience with foster children and twins. I’m hoping to be able to bring my 11 year old son with we as needed.

As a college graduate from Endicott College with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with minors in Nutrition and Wellness, and Psychology, I am currently looking for a part-time job post-graduation in the babysitting/nannying field as I have previous experience in this field. I am living in Topsham, ME and have my own car for transportation. I have been babysitting since I was 16-17 years old and have been certified through the Red Cross to do so since I was 12 years old. The ages of the children have ranged from infants to 11-12 years old. It has been a very meaningful and valuable experience for me as I want to have my own family someday. Through Endicott’s academic program, I completed Risk Assessment and Special Population classes where I learned about first aid and working with children. Last year I was a nanny for a 3-year-old boy and was responsible for transportation to and from school/activities, snack and meal prep, laundry and housekeeping, potty training, nap time, and playtime I am an animal lover as well, and have cats of my own. I love sports, movies, and music.

I have been working in childcare for nearly 4 years. My experience ranges from children ages 6 weeks to 13 years. I am COR and First Aid certified, and other relevant qualifications. I truly love working with all children, and I enjoy getting to know them, exploring their favorite activities, and providing the best care possible.

I just finished my 20th year as a second and third teacher. l graduated 8 years ago with my Master's in Education. I have had 20+ years of childcare experience. I have been a nanny or babysitter for over 20years. I was a babysitter starting in high school and continued on the side until college. While in college I was a nanny through Beacon Hill Nannies and lived in New York as a live in nanny. The following summers I have been a nanny in Falmouth, Yarmouth, Cumberland, Cape Elizabeth,Freeport, Kennebunkport ,Scarborough and Boothbay Harbor. I have also done multiple nanny jobs in New York and throughout New England. I have been a nanny for children ages new born twins to twelve years old. I have great references as well. I currently have open availability for after-school care, school vacations, and date nights. I also will travel for weddings, events or ski resorts. I am currently starting to book traveling families for the 2025 calendar. I worked over 20 weddings in Maine the last two summers and worked for many families on vacation in hotels or homes they rented. Parents NEED Breaks! Schedules get full and there's a lot to juggle. Having safe, skilled childcare when you have to work is a necessity and you know you need a date night soon!!!! I have many years of experience caring for children and I also am a pediatric Occupational Therapist. I am currently not practicing because I am a homeschool mom of 3 rambunctious ones of my own!! (This includes twins so if you have twins, I'm your lady!)  I am frequently available to provide childcare evenings and weekends, as well as overnights. Daytime availability is variable, as it needs to include my kids (sometimes, but not always), so let's talk about what you need! I am comfortable with all ages and levels of needs. Very comfortable with children with physical disabilities, autism and have experience and/or knowledge about quite a few medical conditions. Willing to learn anything needed to care for your kids!
