As an older sister, I quickly learned how to be responsible and tough while still being fun and interactive. I also have experience being a camp counselor, so I know of lots of fun activities, both indoors and outdoors! I currently own 2 cats, and I grew up with dogs, so I am familiar with animals as well. This year I have started my Childcare journey. I started working at an after care center as a counselor. I worked with k-2. Since spring sports are starting I can’t continue working at that location. Hello! My name is Maddie and I am a teacher at a special purpose preschool for children with Autism. On a day to day basis I provide individualized instruction, work on functional communication, and social skills. I also have experience with toilet training ages 3-5, as well as teaching self care skills. My primary experience with infants and toddlers but I am comfortable with all ages. My previous experience is in a Gen Ed/Special Ed kindergarten classroom, where I facilitated play, worked on science/math skills, and other subjects. I also enjoy designing creative projects and incorporating art into daily activities. My other passions include being outside, especially here in Maine where we enjoy so much beautiful nature!
