Hello, my name is Dawn. I am 56 years young, married & a homemaker. I have a successful, 23 year old son & a wonderful husband. I have been babysitting children of all ages since I was 14 years old, from infants to pretweens, in addition to the experience of raising my own child full time. When he was old enough, neighboring & school friends would come over to our house, at which point I would then become the official babysitter for them. For the last 1-1/2 years, I have been babysitting a beautiful, intelligent 10 y/o girl, M-F every morning before school. I then drop her off at school & wait to make sure she is safely inside before I leave. Previous to this job, I was simultaneously a part time nanny to an adorable 16 month old little boy 2 days a week for 2 years, as well as a part time nanny 2 other week days to a sweet 3 y/o little guy & his 1 y/o adorable baby sister for 6 months. I love all my kids, and treat them as if they were my own. It always amazes me how little it takes to put a lot of joy in a child's day. I can provide that, as well as so much more. Every smile a child gives me puts joy in MY day. I took a baby care class at Bronson which included choking, bed, house & car safety. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I am loving, caring, reliable, patient, honest & trustworthy. I will follow your every instruction to the letter. I will help you in any way I can if the opportunity arises or your little one is napping. I never take my eyes off of my kids. Even when they are napping, I check on them regularly to make sure they are safe. I would be honored, if given the opportunity to care for your little one. I am vigilant, loving & respectful. You can rest assured they will be left in the most diligent, reliable, loving and caring hands possible. I exemplify manners & respect. I will guide & encourage him or her through their next steps in the growth process, whatever those may be. Last but not least, my own rules: NO electronics on kid time! I am not on social media of any kind. No one texts me on a regular basis. No visitors! Never answer the door! Doors always locked! Greetings everyone. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tessa and I'm 26 years old. In 2019 I discovered healthcare in adult foster care facilities and moved from Centreville to Kalamazoo. I had worked in that department for about 5 years. I have worked with patients that have had developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries and behavioral tendencies. I have worked with catheters and colostomy bags with training in body transfers. I am also CPR and first aid certified currently ( I renew every year) . In 2022 I attended Ross medical education to become a registered medical assistant. I completed my course and worked at accession Borgess cardiology to complete my externship. I have been currently working in ABA therapy as a behavioral technician for almost 2 years. I genuinely enjoy taking care of kids. They’re funny, honest, and you never know what they’ll say or do next. I love creating a space where they feel safe, understood, and cared for. Being trusted by a family means a lot to me, and I really do enjoy becoming someone their child feels comfortable with. I’ve worked with children of different ages, from babies to older kids, and I’m comfortable with pretty much any routine feeding, bottles, diaper changes, bath time, homework, bedtime, and keeping them busy with activities. I’m patient, responsible, and I always try to make things feel calm and fun at the same time. I’m dependable, good at communicating, and really attentive to the needs of both the kids and the parents. I also have basic safety knowledge like CPR/first aid awareness, and I stay calm if anything unexpected comes up.
