Hello, my name is Dawn. I am 56 years young, married & a homemaker. I have a successful, 23 year old son & a wonderful husband. I have been babysitting children of all ages since I was 14 years old, from infants to pretweens, in addition to the experience of raising my own child full time. When he was old enough, neighboring & school friends would come over to our house, at which point I would then become the official babysitter for them. For the last 1-1/2 years, I have been babysitting a beautiful, intelligent 10 y/o girl, M-F every morning before school. I then drop her off at school & wait to make sure she is safely inside before I leave. Previous to this job, I was simultaneously a part time nanny to an adorable 16 month old little boy 2 days a week for 2 years, as well as a part time nanny 2 other week days to a sweet 3 y/o little guy & his 1 y/o adorable baby sister for 6 months. I love all my kids, and treat them as if they were my own. It always amazes me how little it takes to put a lot of joy in a child's day. I can provide that, as well as so much more. Every smile a child gives me puts joy in MY day. I took a baby care class at Bronson which included choking, bed, house & car safety. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I am loving, caring, reliable, patient, honest & trustworthy. I will follow your every instruction to the letter. I will help you in any way I can if the opportunity arises or your little one is napping. I never take my eyes off of my kids. Even when they are napping, I check on them regularly to make sure they are safe. I would be honored, if given the opportunity to care for your little one. I am vigilant, loving & respectful. You can rest assured they will be left in the most diligent, reliable, loving and caring hands possible. I exemplify manners & respect. I will guide & encourage him or her through their next steps in the growth process, whatever those may be. Last but not least, my own rules: NO electronics on kid time! I am not on social media of any kind. No one texts me on a regular basis. No visitors! Never answer the door! Doors always locked! I will always have my phone close by in case you call me or I need to call you or in case of emergency. Thank you for your consideration. I wish you the best of luck in your search! Respectfully, Dawn JH

We found Melody on SitterCity 2 years ago and she has been our go-to-nanny/babysitter ever since. Melody is always energetic and is full of wonderfully creative and fun (non-TV) activities for the kids to do. Both our boys (and the neighborhood kids!) adore Melody and look forward to her coming to see them. We trust her completely in our home and with our children - she cared for our then 2 yo son for 2 weeks in our home when my husband and I had to travel overseas. She is always prompt and reliable, and has impeccable references. Melody has always worked with us re: discipline and will enforce our rules while we are gone - something not all nannies/babysitters feel comfortable doing. We are transplants to Charlotte and do not have family to rely upon when we need childcare. Melody fills that gap for us. There is noone I would trust more completely than her when it comes to our home and our children. We feel lucky to have her.

Hi, my name is Marissa, and I would love to tell you a little about myself. I am a huge animal lover, I love reading, swimming, and spending time with my family. I have been taking care of children since I was 16 years old. Some of the positions I've had were being a babysitter, a nanny, a mother's helper, and a daycare assistant. I am currently working on getting my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have also taken many classes on how I can improve the care and well being of the children I take care of. I have experience taking care of children between the ages of 3 weeks old to 14-year-olds. I love coming up with fun arts and crafts projects that encourage creativity, going on fun and educational outings like going to the library, the museum, the beach, the zoo, going to events geared towards children, and many more places. I also enjoy coming up with fun activities to do: doing science experiments, baking, exploring the outdoors, going on walks, and reading

I am a recent highschool graduate and am graduating Kellogg Community College this spring with my associates in science (by being in the early college program). I plan to keep going to school after and plan on becoming a pediatric doctor. I have four years of child sitting experience, with ages three months to 12 years old. I also have my first aid and CPR certifications. I have experience with scheduled nannying with twin boys and I have a lot of experience with periodic sitting for all ages. I always like to leave a place cleaner than you left it (dishes in the sink, laundry in the wash, etc). I also have experience tutoring and love to help with homework. I love having fun with the kids I watch (hanging out with them not just watching them).

Hi! My name is Kami! I am a 21 year old college student studying to become an elementary school teacher. I’ve always loved working with kids, and i’m passionate about helping them learn and grow. I have experience in the healthcare field, which has taught me how to stay calm in stressful situations, be super detail-oriented, and communicate clearly and kindly. These skills have really helped me when it comes to babysitting. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, reliable, and I like getting creative. I like to play games, do crafts, read books, and go for walks outside. I also am able to help with any homework. I always try to create a safe, positive space where kids feel comfortable and happy! I’d love to get to know your family and see if I’d be a good fit!

My name is Cecilia Provins. I am originally from Indiana, but moved to Kalamazoo for school! I recently graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education! I have been teaching many grade levels this year. am the oldest of 8, which has heavily influenced my love for children & teaching. As for experience, I was the mother figure in my family for several years. My youngest sibling is only 15 months old. I have regularly babysat for date nights/events for a 9 year old boy, as well as a three year old girl. I am very patient & caring for others, as well as dependable. I will not be attending school over summer, so I am looking for a part-time job that aligns with my love for teaching. I can easily create small lessons that will help with social-emotional learning, or subject learning as a whole! Learning should be fun & I’d love to incorporate that in our time together! It is summer, so I would like the ability to spend time outdoors (go to the park, etc.). Thank you in advance!
