My primary childcare experience stems from the two summers in which I was a camp counselor. As a camp counselor, I was responsible for creating activities and being a source socioemotional support for 10-12 young girls. It was a great experience as it allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of how children develop and find my passion in childcare. As a psychology graduate, I have taken many developmental courses which has further enhanced my knowledge of children. In addition to being a camp counselor, I volunteered in a preschool for two semesters of college and I was a Sunday school teacher to 1st and 2nd grade girls.
