I love kids so much; I treat every child like it's my own! My goal is to have my own daycare but since covid I've been having a hard time completing my goal. Even though I can't complete that goal just yet, I decide to become a babysitter so I can help parents in need of a sitter because with me being a stay-at-home mom, I know what it's like to need help. Hello! My name is Jeanene... I have several years experience caring for children of all ages.  I come from a wonderful family of 5 children, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Our parents taught us the value of education and strong moral values from a very young age. My brother, Joey, was the oldest of 5, and was born with Down Syndrome. He was diagnosed with some health issues when he was born- including cardiac problems. My sisters and I had taken on many responsibilities caring for my special needs brother as we got older. I helped Joey with much supervision, teaching, educating, lots of sports/hobbies and being actively involved in Special Olympics with him.  I will carry the life lessons Joey taught our family with me forever... unconditional love, courage, patience, and understanding:) I began actively watching children when I was in High School at the age of 15 for a few family's in the neighborhood. I enjoyed it tremendously so I continued to babysit throughout my High School years and 2 yrs of college. Shortly, thereafter, my sister was blessed with triplets....  that kept me busy:) I became their part-time nanny for the first 4 years and a very active babysitter as they grew! In addition, my other sister adopted a little girl from Quatemala. I relocated to Louisville, KY to become her part-time nanny/babysitter and helped her through the challenging toddler years. I love children (just good for the soul)... I have worked with students in this capacity for over 8 years and worked with students ages 5 to 18. I absolutely love it! I have certifications in CPR, first aid, and blood borne pathogens. I create fun activities with “hidden learning”. I also like to explore the outside with my students. From playing at the park to exploring the woods I can find a learning experience anywhere. I am familiar with most of the science centers, zoos, and museums in Southeast Michigan and would love to take your children on exciting adventures. I have one child of my own and 9 nieces and nephews all ranging from adult to 2 years old, and I have cared for and cared for all of them throughout their lives. I’ve always loved caring for others, in which kids are the most fun! During family gatherings, all of the kids gravitate towards me, and that goes for most kids in general.
