Find experienced nannies in Freeport, MI

Hi everyone! 😊 I’m a 19-year-old college student looking for a full-time, long-term nanny position starting at the end of June in the Caledonia, Grand Rapids, or Byron Center area! I know this may seem a little early to be posting, but I wanted to put this out there for families who may be looking ahead and hoping to find a nanny for the summer or upcoming school year. I’m currently in college studying Physical Education and Child Development, with plans to become a PE teacher after college. I’ve been working with children for about 7 years through babysitting, caring for younger family members, and working with local families. I also have two younger siblings who are 4 and 3 years old, so I’ve had lots of experience with little ones both personally and through babysitting. I’ve cared for children of all ages, but I especially love working with babies and toddlers (3 and under)! For almost 3 years, I’ve also worked at the YMCA in before/after-school childcare, where I work with children from young 5s through 4th grade. I help create a fun environment while incorporating age-appropriate activities and curriculum. I also completed Teacher Academy through Kent Career Tech Center, where I spent a semester in a 1st grade classroom and over a semester in an ASD classroom. I gained experience helping with lessons, working one-on-one with students, and providing behavior support. I’m CPR certified, have a clean driving record, and am comfortable with pets. I grew up with dogs and cats and would be more than happy to help with household tasks such as kids laundry, dishes, meal prep, and keeping the house tidy while caring for the children. I’m also happy to help with homework, activities, outings, and transportation. I’m hoping to find a family who is looking for a reliable, caring, long-term nanny who can stay with them through the school year. I’m looking for around 30–40 hours per week, ideally starting around 8 AM and finishing between 4–5 PM. I will be taking college classes during the school year, so having one weekday off for classes would be ideal, but I’m flexible and can work with a family’s schedule. My starting rate is $18/hour, depending on the number of children and responsibilities. I’m also happy to provide references from families I’ve babysat for as well as my Teacher Academy teacher. I have worked at two different after-school care programs. I was an Activities Director at a summer school where I tutored children and helped plan field trips. I am a hard working individual with a heart for kids! Currently, I work in and infant room in a daycare with my 3 month old daughter.
