We found Melody on SitterCity 2 years ago and she has been our go-to-nanny/babysitter ever since. Melody is always energetic and is full of wonderfully creative and fun (non-TV) activities for the kids to do. Both our boys (and the neighborhood kids!) adore Melody and look forward to her coming to see them. We trust her completely in our home and with our children - she cared for our then 2 yo son for 2 weeks in our home when my husband and I had to travel overseas. She is always prompt and reliable, and has impeccable references. Melody has always worked with us re: discipline and will enforce our rules while we are gone - something not all nannies/babysitters feel comfortable doing. We are transplants to Charlotte and do not have family to rely upon when we need childcare. Melody fills that gap for us. There is noone I would trust more completely than her when it comes to our home and our children. We feel lucky to have her.

Hello, my name is Dawn. I am 56 years young, married & a homemaker. I have a successful, 23 year old son & a wonderful husband. I have been babysitting children of all ages since I was 14 years old, from infants to pretweens, in addition to the experience of raising my own child full time. When he was old enough, neighboring & school friends would come over to our house, at which point I would then become the official babysitter for them. For the last 1-1/2 years, I have been babysitting a beautiful, intelligent 10 y/o girl, M-F every morning before school. I then drop her off at school & wait to make sure she is safely inside before I leave. Previous to this job, I was simultaneously a part time nanny to an adorable 16 month old little boy 2 days a week for 2 years, as well as a part time nanny 2 other week days to a sweet 3 y/o little guy & his 1 y/o adorable baby sister for 6 months. I love all my kids, and treat them as if they were my own. It always amazes me how little it takes to put a lot of joy in a child's day. I can provide that, as well as so much more. Every smile a child gives me puts joy in MY day. I took a baby care class at Bronson which included choking, bed, house & car safety. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I am loving, caring, reliable, patient, honest & trustworthy. I will follow your every instruction to the letter. I will help you in any way I can if the opportunity arises or your little one is napping. I never take my eyes off of my kids. Even when they are napping, I check on them regularly to make sure they are safe. I would be honored, if given the opportunity to care for your little one. I am vigilant, loving & respectful. You can rest assured they will be left in the most diligent, reliable, loving and caring hands possible. I exemplify manners & respect. I will guide & encourage him or her through their next steps in the growth process, whatever those may be. Last but not least, my own rules: NO electronics on kid time! I am not on social media of any kind. No one texts me on a regular basis. No visitors! Never answer the door! Doors always locked! I will always have my phone close by in case you call me or I need to call you or in case of emergency. Thank you for your consideration. I wish you the best of luck in your search! Respectfully, Dawn JH

The first experience I had babysitting was a church neighbors son when I was fifteen it was a great experience and from then on I have really enjoyed taking care of kids! I really like doing activities with the kids like sports, art, reading, and learning. Safety is always my first priority. My experience with kids I have gotten from babysitting, shadowing nannies, vacation bible school leading, and kids summer camps. I looking forward for a chance to be the best babysitter that will fit for you!

Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel supported. I love creating fun, engaging days where children can learn through play, creativity, reading, outdoor activities, and everyday experiences. I enjoy getting to know each child's personality and interests and creating a safe, nurturing environment where they can be themselves. Building a trusting relationship with both children and their families is one of my favorite parts of childcare. What experience do you have? I have professional childcare experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. I have worked as a nanny, operated my own childcare business, and worked as a Lead Teacher in an early childhood classroom. Through these experiences, I have cared for multiple children, supported daily routines, planned age-appropriate activities, prepared meals and snacks, assisted with children's organization and laundry, and communicated with families about their children's needs and development. What skills and training do you have? I am CPR and First Aid certified and have training and hands-on experience in early childhood education and development. I am comfortable with infants and toddlers, diapering, feeding, naps, potty training, children's routines, developmental activities, and managing multiple children. I am organized, dependable, patient, creative, energetic, and comfortable taking initiative. I also enjoy incorporating reading, arts and crafts, sensory activities, music, outdoor play, and educational activities into childcare.

Hi! I'm Mallory, I am an experienced childcare provider with over 15 years of experience caring for children ages 0-13. I’m also a mom of two! Before starting my own family, I worked as a nanny for several families and loved building strong relationships with both children and parents. I took a break from professional nannying to raise my own children. Now that they are both in school, I am excited to return to childcare and continue doing work that I truly enjoy. I provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. I enjoy planning activities such as outdoor play, arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, and other age-appropriate activities that keep children active and engaged throughout the day. Parents describe me as dependable, patient, organized, and easy to communicate with. As both a nanny and a parent, I understand the importance of trust, consistency, and open communication. My goal is to provide loving, attentive care while giving families peace of mind that their children are safe, happy, and well cared for. In addition to providing childcare, I offer household management support to help keep family life running smoothly. I am experienced in managing children's schedules, coordinating activities and appointments, meal prep, grocery shopping, laundry, organization, and light housekeeping. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of creating efficient routines, staying organized, and anticipating a family's needs. My goal is to be a dependable extra set of hands, allowing parents to focus on work and family time with less stress. I look forward to connecting with your family and learning how I can support your childcare needs!

I have been working with my favorite preschool age group for 6 years and it has been some of the best years of my life I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. I also have my Child Development Associates (CDA) certificate as well as other early childhood training courses and workshops I have participated in. My outgoing, humorous, and empathetic personality helps me to connect with the children and families I serve in the early childhood profession. I love love love to cook and bake new recipes and some may even call me a chef lol. When I am not working with children, I am out and about on sightseeing photography adventures exploring with our Nikon camera. My passion for photography started in high school, and I love to photograph anything and everything. My favorite color is pink and my favorite animals are flamingos! I value teamwork and respect out of anything as that is of importance to me. I believe providing a warm, nurturing, and caring learning environment for your child to benefit their development in the early years of life.
