I have a love of children from growing up in a big family and being the oldest. Kids bring lots of happiness and make life more of an adventure. I like to make a difference and show the kids that we can always have fun and learn lots of new things. I have been working in daycares since 2018 and started nannying in December of 2022. I’m also CPR and first aid certified. I worked with newborns up to 10 year olds mostly but more than comfortable with older children. I like to do arts and crafts and be outside as much as possible. I’ve done potty training and know also work to teach sign language!

I have always enjoyed the exuberance and innocence of young kids, and focused my career toward child care even since high school. I like assisting in the mental growth and development of the world’s future! I worked for the public school system in various positions over 6 years, primarily in elementary schools. I have been the lead Teacher’s Assistant in a daycare center and have been an active organizer in children’s programs, including Girl Scouts, as well as church youth groups. I am infant and adult CPR and First Aid certified, and am certified through the State of Michigan in Nutrition, Food Safety and Sanitation. I have experience with medical support, such as insulin injections, disabled dependent care, and wound dressing. I have taken courses in childhood American Sign Language and Early Childhood Development, and have studied infant physical and speech therapy. For me, I have three grown children, aging 25-30. Hello, I am Maia Springfield and I just want to start by saying I have always loved children. I started working with young children in my teenage years babysitting for 2 years for parents who needed. When I became an adult, I went on to earn my Child Development Associate Certification and became a Lead Preschool Teacher. I have been a teacher for a year and a half. I have experience potty training, changing diapers, preparing meals, bathing, and preparing fun activities for the children.

I’ve been working in a very successful childcare center being an assistant teacher in the infant room. I’ve learned about child development, safe sleep, and much more. I love helping kids grow and getting to know them and being able to watch the progress. I am very familiar with state licensing requirements which will prioritize safety/learning. I have the most experience with younger children however i’m open to care for all ages. I love cats, not so fond of dogs and I’d love to help you with simple household duties.

I have worked in childcare since the moment i graduated high school back in 2016. I got a job at Cream of the Crop daycare right away and worked there for about 3 years unfortunately that daycare closed down. After that I started working at Rebbeca’s learning center I began there as an assistant teacher and a few months into the job I got certified lead preschool/toddler/ infant teacher. I am currently employed by the Waterford School district I am working at a High school in the special ed field. While working in daycare I built some amazing bonds with amazing families who not only trusted me with their children but into their homes.
