Hi! I am young- thinking, energetic retired gal who loves children with many years of experience babysitting. I am comfortable with children of all ages and also pets. I am available to babysit for evenings out, part-time daytime sitter or be on call when your sitter is ill or does not show up. I believe in being an engaged sitter, playing games, crafts, books, puzzles etc. I would be happy to share more about me and would like to hear more about you and your children. I can provide references from other families on Sittercity . I recently updated my CPR/ First Aid certificate for adults/children. I live in Shelby Township.

Hi I’m Sara! I have a deep passion when it comes to working with kids. I am a Montessori preschool teacher and have been nannying for over a decade. I think each kid has something special, goofy, fun and curious about them which is why I love getting to know and care for each and every one. I value compassion, structure, and creativity and I believe that is reflected in the way I interact with children.

I’ve been an elementary teacher for over 30 years and am also a proud mom of three. I absolutely love being a sitter because it lets me watch children learn, grow, and explore through play. Helping kids discover new things in a fun, caring environment is one of my favorite parts of what I do. In addition to teaching, I work as an after-school tutor and hold a ZA endorsement, which has strengthened my knowledge of early childhood development. I bring patience, dependability, and a genuine love for children to every family I work with. My goal is always to create a safe, engaging space where kids can feel happy, confident, and curious.

Amanda S., Nanny in Leonard, MI 48367 with 10 years of paid experience

I'm an experienced care partner, nanny, and lead teacher with over 10 years of childcare experience supporting children from infancy through the teenage years. My goal in any home or classroom is to create a calm, creative, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. For the past five years, I've worked professionally in Early Learning Centers as both a Lead Pre-K Teacher and Assistant Director, with experience utilizing play-based learning techniques and implementing Reggio Emilia, High Scope, and GSRP curriculum models. For little learners I prioritize hands-on learning, sensory play, music, dramatic play, outdoor exploration, and early literacy development. One of my greatest strengths is supporting social-emotional growth and helping children navigate big feelings with patience, consistency, and compassion. I believe children thrive when they feel heard, respected, and emotionally secure. In addition to my classroom experience, I have extensive nannying and caregiving experience in private homes. I've supported families with everything from daily routines and meal preparation to school drop-offs, transportation, homework help, bedtime routines, and activity planning. Families I work with often describe me as dependable, warm, organized, and adaptable. I understand the importance of consistency and routine while also bringing creativity and fun into everyday moments. Whether we're building literacy skills through story time, getting messy with sensory bins and crafts, exploring outdoors, or simply creating a peaceful and structured environment after a long school day, I aim to support not just the children in my care, but the entire family. My professional background has also strengthened my communication and organizational skills. As an Assistant Director in a childcare center, I managed scheduling, family communication, student records, staff support, and daily operations while maintaining high standards for safety and care. This experience helped me become highly detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in handling busy environments with professionalism and flexibility. I love what I do! I strive to build trusting relationships with children, support their development, and become a dependable, positive presence in their lives. I would love the opportunity to support a family looking for a caring, experienced, and reliable extra hand. My references are readily available, upon request.

I love being a sitter because my one goal in life is to be a mom. I love kids and cannot wait to have my own. I have babysat neighbors and family for over 6 years and have taken CPR lessons and First Aid. I can cook, clean, and tend the needs of any child. I am one of 7 kids and two of my siblings have autism so I have experience in that field. I plan to help nurture and care for your child and meet the needs they require.

I grew up in a very large family, growing up I always had a cousin or relative watching us and it helped all of us kids feel safe. That’s what I want to be for your kids, someone that makes them feel safe. I also love the outdoors and want to spend as much time outside as possible. I babysat growing up and I have also worked at a pediatric dental office. Working with kids all day really showed me how different everyone can be. Each kid has their own personality and things they may struggle with but I am willing to help them be the best version of themself. While working in a pediatric office I became CPR certified for all ages and know the basics of first aid as well.

Hi, I'm Hanna! I'm looking for a new family to care for after I move to Chicago within the next 2 weeks. I've been nannying now for 7 years and have been with my current family for 2 years. Right now, I'm a nanny/house manager for a lovely family who has 3yo twins, a 5yo, and sometimes their cousin is there who's 2. We enjoy going to parks, splash pads, the zoo, pool, indoor play areas, running through the sprinkler in their backyard, walks with their large dog, afterschool activities, arts and crafts, sensory bins, dance parties, read books, build forts, sort things, fine motor skills focused tasks, and pretend we're dinosaurs while playing hide and seek! Some of the house management tasks I do include grocery shopping, meal prep, basic cleaning, family laundry, running errands, organizational projects, getting rid of outgrown kids' clothes/toys/books, rotating toy bins, deep cleaning/getting gas/maintenance done on their car I drive, packing/unpacking for trips, receiving packages/putting things away, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and more. In addition to nannying for various other families, I've also been an Assistant Teacher at a daycare, and absolutely loved it! There, I took care of the infants and sometimes the toddlers. The room ratio was 1 adult:4 infants/toddlers, so I was definitely busy! My duties included feedings, introducing infants to solids, meal/snack time, diaper changes, soothing them for naps, narrating things throughout the day, listening to music, tummy time, finger painting, potty training the toddlers, play time indoors and outdoors, walks, maintaining a clean and uplifting environment, and sticking to a schedule/filling out daily sheets for each child. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, have a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, am not a smoker, have a reliable car, up-to-date on vaccines, have special needs experience, and recently worked with a physical/speech therapist who came weekly for the twin toddlers. I have experience with ages 3mo-11yo, and all of the jobs I've had have been with multiple children. I'm kind-hearted, reliable, nurturing, trustworthy, loving, responsible, fun, and encouraging. I have such a strong passion for caring for kids, they are truly so special! I applied to an apartment recently in Chicago, so now I just need to secure a job in order to move. I also have a resume/references. I can't wait to continue my nannying journey because so far it's been nothing but amazing and so rewarding! :)

Hi there, I am a momma of two sweet boys, ages 1 and 5 years old and one fur baby! I have my elementary teaching license with 8 year experience in the classroom classroom. With that being said, I am creating a supplimental arts and craft program for local preschool and elementary aged children on the weekends. This will be directed through my preschool childcare program ‘ Mrs. Darnall’s Little Learners’. I am nearing the end of the licensing process for my preschool, so that will be coming soon this fall! In the mean time, I will be doing a flexible summer childcare program with both half and full day options for children aged 2-5. The program has limited spots to ensure that a small-group setting can be provided. Please message me if interested in the arts and crafts program offered on Saturdays starting in JUNE, or my summer program. Best, Michelle
