Hi, my name is Marina and I’m a recent grad from Michigan State! I've been around kids all my life due to having a large family with younger siblings and several younger cousins. I started babysitting within my family then went onto paid experience for friends of the family and neighbors. Soon after, I started to care for children in the Metro Detroit area. Over the last seven years, I've cared for a variety of kids, including a range of ages (0-14). I love being outside playing sports, acquiring new hobbies, and staying indoors reading, watching movies, or playing games on a rainy day! Over the last year, I moved to NYC and have been enrolled in a forensic psychology MA program while also working at a daycare. I have flexible availability and am happy to work with your schedule. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello! I'm Emma Holmquist, an experienced and reliable nanny dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for your children. Having recently worked in both nanny positions and at a child care center, I've had the experience of caring for children across all age groups- from infants as young as 6 weeks old to middle schoolers! In my roles as a nanny, I provided care tailored to the unique needs of each family, including cooking a healthy meal, teaching new skills, tidying the house, and providing transportation. At the child care center, I followed a structured routine that included feeding, teaching, outdoor and indoor play, nap time, and engaging activities until pick-up. In addition to my experience as a nanny and child care assistant, I've also worked at a rehabilitation center providing services to those with special needs. I am committed to your child's safety and education, which is evident with my CPR certification and Bachelor's degree in Psychology (completing numerous courses specific to child development).

I am an loving and responsible mother of a beautiful young lady. I have over 40 years experience caring for children in private homes and in licensed day care centers. I successfully raised my daughter alone. She is now a college graduate and is employed in her field of study. I also have over 30 years as a cook/chef, both privately and in day cares, hospitals, hotels, and senior living centers. I also have creative and artistic talent, which in the past has helped with not just school projects, homework, but also with activities to help to build a child's imagination. I enjoy cooking, sports, playing games, reading and arts and crafts.

I have a love of children from growing up in a big family and being the oldest. Kids bring lots of happiness and make life more of an adventure. I like to make a difference and show the kids that we can always have fun and learn lots of new things. I have been working in daycares since 2018 and started nannying in December of 2022. I’m also CPR and first aid certified. I worked with newborns up to 10 year olds mostly but more than comfortable with older children. I like to do arts and crafts and be outside as much as possible. I’ve done potty training and know also work to teach sign language!

Growing up in a large family, I learned to provide child care from a young age. I have always enjoyed the exuberance and innocence of young kids, and focused my career toward child care even since high school. I like assisting in the mental growth and development of the world’s future! I worked for the public school system in various positions over 6 years, primarily in elementary schools. I have been the lead Teacher’s Assistant in a daycare center and have been an active organizer in children’s programs, including Girl Scouts, as well as church youth groups. I have years experience caring for children, from infants to teens. I am infant and adult CPR and First Aid certified, and am certified through the State of Michigan in Nutrition, Food Safety and Sanitation. I have experience with medical support, such as insulin injections, disabled dependent care, and wound dressing. I have taken courses in childhood American Sign Language and Early Childhood Development, and have studied infant physical and speech therapy. For me, I have three grown children, aging 25-30. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, and doing arts & crafts. I live in Livingston county with my husband of 33 years, our two dogs, and cat. Thank you for consideration, I look forward to hearing from you!

Available thru Sept 6th. I am a 47 year-old female. I have experience as a nanny, middle school teacher and personal 24/7 caregiver. I am currently a nanny for a 6 month old. Unfortunately, they will be moving back to Georgia at the beginning of August. Neighbors, friends, references and I describe myself as a passionate, dedicated and generous person. I take my responsiblies extremely serious. I am very personable and am told I have a great sense of humor. In addition, I also have to cats. To start, I had taken on a job as a nanny during my college years. I actually worked for two sisters' children, alternating. I took care of two of the children as soon as they were born. The other 2 children were just 2 or 3 years older. (I still can't believe that one is getting married this year.) I helped in every way possible just like their parents. I provided all care even through times of their illnesses. Things like potty training, reading and education activities, meals and going on adventures both local and distant. This continued even a the children were approaching school- age. During my teaching years, I was a Middle School Math teacher at St. Fabian in Farmington Hills. My responsibilities involved constant communication with students, parents and staff. I was dedicated to my students not only in the classroom but through tutoring before, during lunch and after school. As Instant Messaging and texting became available, I invited them to ask questions even through the evening. I expected success from my students. If they had difficulty understanding a concept or lesson or scored low on an assignment, I would giving them another chance or a many as needed. As a result, at that point and throughout high school, most were very confident and well-prepared. As a caregiver, I took care of my good friend and neighbor, Irene, after she had a stroke at the age of 71 in 2008. Prior to that event she worked 40 hours a week. From the minute she was finally able to call me after experiencing her stroke, I was by her side. She became my 'adopted' mom. I just could not imagine her children placing her in a facility because they had families and other responsibities such as work. I offered to help, as a friend, and never addressed it as a financial opportunity. She did provide for both of our needs, throughout, and for that I am forever grateful.
