Hello! My name is Julia, I’m 30 years old, and I was born and raised in Minnesota. I’ve been working as an independent nanny for the past several years for a few families. I have experience with a wide array of ages and ability levels, from infant to teens. I most recently was a nanny part time for a family with three boys under 4 years old. Prior to becoming a nanny, I worked as a direct support professional and independent living skills counselor in a group home and in community based settings. I worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses and neurodivergent individuals, helping them learn life and coping skills. I have also worked with children with autism and Down Syndrome during my time as a nanny. I am very contentious about safety, and am fully vaccinated against COVID. I have ten plus years of child care and related experience and am CPR and first aid trained. I have also taken child development safety courses including SIDS and head trauma. In my free time I enjoy photography, arts and crafts, gardening, and spending time with my fiancé up north anywhere near Lake Superior. I have worked with several families as their nannies throughout my career. It was always different tasks depending on the families needs. I would take kids to sporting events or dance classes along with grocery shopping. If they went on vacations I would stay with the kids while they were out of town.
