I’m Becca — your calming, baby-whispering postpartum powerhouse. I’ve always had a soft spot for newborns — their tiny sounds, their sweetness, and the magical way they change everything in an instant. Becoming a postpartum doula felt like the most natural step in my journey as a caregiver, and I’m so honored to support families during this sacred, transformative season. With over 15 years of experience caring for children—from preschool classrooms to full-time nannying, and most recently as a unit coordinator in a busy pediatric ER—I bring both calm confidence and clinical know-how to the early days of parenthood. I’ve supported babies as young as two days and currently offer overnight and daytime care with a focus on rest, rhythm, and reassurance. My care is holistic and heart-centered. I’m here not only for newborn care, but for the whole family—from tending to the physical and emotional recovery of birthing parents, to offering guidance and support to partners and siblings adjusting to life with a new baby. Whether it’s nourishing meals, light tidying, listening without judgment, or just making space for a shower and a breath, I aim to bring peace and presence to the postpartum experience. Parenthood is powerful—and sometimes overwhelming. You deserve someone in your corner. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, endlessly baby-savvy, and always ready with a swaddle tip, a feeding log, or a warm, calming presence when it’s needed most. Let’s connect and talk about how I can support your growing family—I would be honored to be a trusted partner along your parenting journey.

After my "journalism" career (too many ad agencies and a faltering book industry), I began working with children, the elderly, and pets. Being a trusted, reliable presence in their lives provides a life balance that I enjoy, and utilizing a care provider with a good attitude is beneficial for everyone involved. For a few years (until I broke my arm skiing on too much ice), I worked part-time as a CNA (Cert. Nursing Assistant), but began spending more time as a substitute for teachers and paraprofessionals in local schools. When Covid came along, I teamed up with a family who wanted to keep a close watch on safety for their premature baby. I was lucky to find a temporary position that allowed me to return to this family to care for their second child, who is now in pre-school (I still babysit on their "date nights." I have raised two sons, one diagnosed with ADHD and the other with Asperger Syndrome (a high-functioning form of autism), conditions that often swim in the same genetic pool. I played on their strengths when offering activity choices to them, and today they are both doing well as young adults following their own career paths. When my children were very young, I taught Sunday school to grade-school-aged children while running a licensed in-home childcare center. I love to do individual outdoor activities that match the weather, although walking my shared Corgi must happen regardless of temperature or precipitation. I tend to eat very well -- my goal is to retain as much of my physical, spiritual, and mental health as possible. I love sharing this knowledge with little ones and helping them to grow into who they were meant to become.

Hello! I am a 25 year old college graduate who is passionate about working with children! I have worked several jobs in childcare over the last decade including babysitter, nanny, and daycare teacher. My favorite ages to work with are infants and young toddlers, but I have experience with and am open to working with all ages! I have also worked in childcare and healthcare jobs that have required overnight hours, so I have plenty of experience working during “odd” hours and am more than happy to do overnight care duties so parents can get some much needed rest! I also believe that communication between parents and a childcare provider is extremely important. I stay extremely organized when on shift so that I can inform parents of prior feedings, diaper changes, waking and sleeping hours, and some stories of adorable moments as well. I am open to any and all questions, so please feel free to ask! Additionally I am happy to provide references if desired!
