I have experience with a wide array of ages and ability levels, from infant to teens. I most recently was a nanny part time for a family with three boys under 4 years old. Prior to becoming a nanny, I worked as a direct support professional and independent living skills counselor in a group home and in community based settings. I worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses and neurodivergent individuals, helping them learn life and coping skills. I have also worked with children with autism and Down Syndrome during my time as a nanny. I am very contentious about safety, and am fully vaccinated against COVID. Now that my children have all graduated college and my other jobs are not full-time; I have the flexibility to do child-care. I have 2 years of paid babysitting experience and I'm the oldest of 6 kids so I have years of experience taking care of my siblings too. I enjoy doing crafts, reading, playing video games and board games, watching movies, and spending time outside. I love my screens as much as anyone but I’m an avid believer that children should have limits on their screen time and should engage in creative play and educational activities. I also like to cook but I've been vegetarian my entire life and I'm not willing to touch or cook meat. I have celiacs (gluten intolerance) and I'm lactose intolerant so I'm very conscious of special dietary needs and making sure everything is safe for whoever is eating.
