I am an experienced mother, nanny and retired nurse. My nursing back ground is varied, the most recent pediatrics, school nursing. I love providing care and actively engaging with babies and children. My primary interest is supporting families with in home care for newborns through preschool age. Fully vaccinated and boosted for covid. Former family circumstances changed and my 2-4 day nanny employment ended. I was with this wonderful little person from 8 weeks through 8 months. I taught in public schools and private schools and then started the education programs at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education for preK & up where I continued to work with outdoor education for kids until the flood in 2021. I have experience babysitting siblings, keeping them safe and engaged in activities, preparing snacks/meals, putting them down for nap/bed. I have done after school pick ups as well as driven kids to activities. I am good with pets. I have a dog and have kept one of my client’s dogs when they went out of town. I have had background checks and been fingerprinted in previous employment. I am 1st Aid and CPR certified. I have also raised my own child so I have experience with babies. Most evenings I have available as well as the weekend and my day shift availability jumps around a little so I would just need to coordinate schedules.
