I became a babysitter because children are some of the greatest people around. It is also neat to see them take in and explore their world Children are also very carefree and kind. I also became a babysitter to hang out with children. I remember one time a parent at a daycare I was asked say she could not see herself being a daycare teacher. But for me, I could not see myself trading places either. I started babysitting at thirteen years of age in Saudi Arabia when my family was stationed there. I babysat all through high school. In my early twenties I took a substitute teachers course and began subbing for Cumberland County Schools in Fayetteville, NC. Then in my mid twenties after orientation I began to substitute for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in Winston -Salem, NC. I also have worked in over 45 daycares as a substitute daycare worker for Work Family Resource, associated with Smart Start. They trained is for three days with state personnel. They also required that we take various continuing education classes at the local community colleges.

I have 3 years of experience working with children and enjoy creating a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for them. I like planning activities, playing games, helping with routines, and making sure children feel comfortable and supported while in my care. I’m CPR certified and have experience assisting with meals, playtime, daily routines, and child-related household tasks.
