I have been a nanny for 10+ years. I am 45 years old and have 2 "kids" that are 23 and 25. I worked in corporate environment with major companies such as IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Sony Ericsson, etc. until layoffs made me reconsider my employment. While I was considering alternatives, I was asked to nanny for a couple that were our neighbors at the time. I did and have been in love with it since. I have kept children from birth to 12 yrs old. I started with 6 week old twins full time and their 2 year old sister part time and during summers. They are now 4 and a half and 7. They will all be in school starting in September and I would like to stay on with them for after school care from 2:30 - 5:15 if possible. I am CPR and first aid certified and have attended many and various childcare/nanny training conferences and classes. This is by far the most fulfilling and emjoyable work I've ever known (other than raising my own children). I consider it an honor to be a part of so many children's lives as well as being an extention of amazing families.
