Hello everyone! My name is Kate, I am a 20 year old female. I’m currenlty a nursing student in my second year. I am a certified nursing aide and certified in basic life support. I have been babysitting since I was 13. I have watched kids as young as 3 months and as old as 12 years. I currently nanny for two families regularly, but am looking for more opportunities! In high school I worked as a CNA at an assisted living facility. I specifically worked in the memory support unit which cared for residents with dementia. So not only do I love children, but the elderly also hold a special place in my heart. I am also a pet mom! I have had several pets growing up (dogs, cats, hamsters, birds). We lived on acreages and I’ve cared for farm animals as well. I have since added rabbits and hedgehogs to my list of pets! I do a lot of work fostering cats and getting stray/feral cats off the streets and onto farms where they can live out their years with constant food and water. I feel like I am well rounded when it comes to skills and experience I have when it comes to “sitting”. I would love to talk further!

I’ve worked for three years as a rehabilitation tech at a therapy company where I worked with children with developmental disabilities. I have a lot of experience coming up with and engaging in activities and fun games to help with child development. I’ve recently also started a youth sports company called Sprouting Sports where we teach 20 month-7 year olds Soccer, Tball, and Basketball! That however only takes place Saturday mornings, so I’m free and available all other times. I truly enjoy working with children and doing fun and exciting activities that get them interested in learning about the world around them!

Most recently my career has evolved into more positions working with Omaha Birth & Babies, working as a personal contractor, as a postpartum/newborn care doula, travel nanny, and full time Professional nanny. My many jobs have have been all about providing continuous help and support to individual families in need. In 1982 my family immigrated to America from the United Kingdom. I come from a hard working, loving family of 7. I consider myself a very young at heart, active, fit, adventurous person. Being outdoors is my favorite place. I enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, camping, swimming and beaches. I power walk daily, love dancing and reading, have a deep love for all music. I thoroughly enjoy trying new foods, learning new things and cultures, and making new friends. I firmly believe in healthy foods, fitness, fun and fresh air! My greatest love is spending time with family and friends. I strive to help children become happier, healthier and more well behaved, while continuing to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop life's skills. Working with children completes me!

Im currently working at a daycare but i'm looking to work full time or part time for one amazing family! I have a little over 3 years of experience of working with children and being a babysitter. I’m CPR + First Aid certificated along with having a couple of courses in child development and have experience with various ages of children.
