I absolutely love babies and kids and have plenty of experience with them. I have babysat/Nannied since I was 14, nannied for two years previous to attending college, I have worked with the VIP Kids Coporation in Monterey, California, and I have taken a fieldwork psychology course with one of the daycares at Rutgers University. I have worked at the ARC of Middlesex and Atlantic counties with developmentally disabled people. I've also done some ABA therapy with a child who had autism. My name is Vanessa and I am 31 years old. I am a Stockton University graduate and have a Bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy which I obtained from Capella University. I was previously a full time therapist at a behavioral and mental health residential facility for children and adolescents in Jacksonville FL. I am CPR certified. They became like sisters to me and I loved watching them grow and loved having a helping hand in their development. In addition, I was a nanny for two girls for 4.5 years who are now ages 16 and 18. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, drawing with chalk, playing outside, doing homework, reading, counting, watching movies, playing with toys and games, hiking, sports and learning new activities and hobbies from the kids! I am experienced in doing household duties (cooking, cleaning, laundry, caring for pets, running errands, driving to and from sports/playdates). I recently babysat for a family in Rhode Island and had my son accompany me who played nicely with their 2 year old son. At this time I am looking to babysit/nanny while allowing my husband to further his career and for me to still be able to be with our children and do what I love, babysit!

I am PhD student at Rutgers studying marine biology. My free time, when I am not studying, is spent hiking with my dog, at the beach, or with my family and friends.
