Hi families! I have lots of personal and nanny experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers. I am mom to 2 kids (14 and 17). I work full time with adults with special needs but my hours are entirely squeezed into Wednesdays/Fridays/Saturday evenings (double shifts) so I am seeking to nanny between 7:30am and 1pm on a few weekdays after I drop my daughter off to school at 7am. I live in Jefferson Township with my husband of 20 years, two teens, and sweet Yorkie. I am very patient and easygoing and adore littles. I have nannied about 3 infants and two sets of twins, raised mine and watched nieces. I have a lot of experience with bottle feeding pumped/formula, diaper changing, supervising during the learning to walk stage, feeding, etc.

Where to begin... My love for children and first "babysitting" job started way back when I was only 11yrs old caring for a neighbor's 4-month-old all by myself! (Times sure were different, yes?) By the time I graduated HS, I was babysitting EVERYONE in the neighborhood and continued to do so for neighbors and family way beyond my college years! I spent 13yrs as an Art teacher and private (non-Art) tutor for children aged 3-14 in a fast paced environment, I’ve been an Aide in PreK3-1st grade, and I have nannied for 2 families. From many years in the Education field, as well as my babysitting/nannying experience, I'd say that I've developed quite a few skills when it comes to understanding the needs of a child, as well as the patience and kindness required to help them learn and grow in a safe environment. I hold a B.F.A. and I am educated in basic first aid including Epi-Pens, CPR, and AED machines. I am currently available for Mon.-Fri. childcare and would prefer a FT position. I am a bit of a nervous driver and am NOT comfortable taxiing children to activities or to/from school. I'd be best suited working with infants or younger children, I would prefer to devote my time to one child, and can even offer Pre-K-Kdg preparation. Meal prep is not a problem and I am open to helping with light laundry if needed as well. As for me personally, I have been with my husband 12 yrs (10 married). I enjoy having adventures and traveling when I can, photography, a variety of Art, reading, music, Paleo-digs, hiking, camping, animals, sci-fi/comic book related activities, and occasionally playing video games with my husband.
