I started this field when I was only 13 years old for a family friend who's son has Autism and other learning disabilities. I stayed with this family for 8 years, when needed, and did overnights, pet care, and light housekeeping. When I was 15 years old, I became a lifeguard and swim instructor at the JCC Camps at Medford in the summer, and the YMCA in Mount Laurel & Moorestown Community House during the school year. When I was 18, I nannied for a newborn (5 months old) & 2 year old for a year, full time.
