Hello! My name is Mary and I am a very patient, kind, experienced and mature child care giver that has worked with every age up through elementary school age. I have cared for both boys and girls and even had 2 separate jobs taking care of multiples that gave me a great ability to multi task! In the past 5 years, I have helped out with several families caring for both boys and girls from ages 4mos up to 4 1/2 yrs old. This experience comes with a background of assisting potty training and transitioning babies from bottles to solid foods. I did have success helping with 2 girls in potty training and did gain experience in helping 'pickier eaters' in their toddler years. My past positions only ended for the children to start pre-school, however I still help out a couple of those families when they have a school holiday or the child is home sick. My schedule has recently opened up so I would love to bring my experience to a new family, whether it was on a regular basis a few days per week or even as needed. I always incorporate learning at every opportunity no matter child's age and am great at being creative for playtime. I maintain safety as my #1 priority but find its helpful to always keep a sense of humor. I am just over the age of 50 which means i am not glued to my phone and feel that i have found a great balance of being always engaged in what the child is doing while also allowing them to explore their independence which is so important to a small child. I have had experience caring for school age children but also love being a witness to a baby's early years and seeing them achieve new developemental milestones. That is such a fun time- especially seeing how proud of themselves they are!I have always believed that a love for books can begin at any age even if they just start by wanting to put the books in their mouths. Lol! I would love to start a new PT job as a sitter, nanny, or mother's helper and am comfortable with parents working in or out of their home. I am in northern ocean co. with a clean DL and my own car and am covid-19 and flu vaccinated. I am able to provide several references from previous child care jobs. My schedule right now is flexible, however I prefer daytime (especially mornings) unless the parent needs an occasional evening helper.
