I absolutely love babies and kids and have plenty of experience with them. I have babysat/Nannied since I was 14, nannied for two years previous to attending college, I have worked with the VIP Kids Coporation in Monterey, California, and I have taken a fieldwork psychology course with one of the daycares at Rutgers University. Hi I noticed a job opening on Indeed for an assistant teacher. I truly believe that I would be a good fit for any classroom I am placed in! I would like to take a moment and tell you about my student teaching experiences during my high school career. I have been a student teacher at Maple Glen Elementary, Thomas Fitz's Elementary, Jarrettown Elementary, and Fort Washington Elementary for 6 years. While I was there my jobs would include, preparing supplies, organizing, walking kids to office/nurse, taking small groups out in the hallway for learning time, playing at recess, cleaning and helping the teacher anyway they needed. I also would volunteer with the Head start Program, in which I would help teach, feed and play with the students. A specific moment I believe exemplifies my experience and dedication was when a kindergarten student with certain learning disabilities was being disruptive during a lesson. With the teacher's support, I went over to him, calmed him down, tried explaining the material specifically to him, and ultimately helped get reenaged with the lesson. In addition to student teaching in elementary schools, I helped out for several years at my dance studio. I would teach classes for the younger students and help take care of them, assist the owner in keeping the studio clean and setting up the studios for classes.
