Hello! My name is Jonna, though I also go by “Yana.” I am 25 years old and currently an undergraduate Criminal Justice student at Monmouth University. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in federal or private-sector law enforcement, which has strongly shaped my sense of responsibility, ethics, and care for others. From 2019 to 2022, I relocated from Virginia to New Jersey to be a full-time caregiver for my grandfather, who was living with Parkinson’s disease and later entered hospice care. My interest in babysitting comes from the positive impact my own babysitters had on me growing up. I strongly believe in limiting excessive screen time and encouraging children to develop healthy coping skills, creativity, and self-expression. I am very comfortable helping with homework, teaching basic life skills (such as cleaning up after themselves, manners, and empathy), and adapting to diverse learning styles and developmental needs, including disabilities. In addition to childcare, I am happy to help with side tasks such as light cleaning, grocery runs, dog walking, and household organization. Much of my childcare experience began in Virginia, where I worked with Girl Scouts and was a sailing instructor.
