I am Adelphi University Alumni, both my undergraduate and Graduate studies in Garden City. I have acquired my B.A in Communications and Behavior and had started working towards my M.A in Elementary Education and Special needs. However, life took me out of graduate school early and I began working. I have 5 years experience with children that require special needs and I am well educated in American Sign Language (ASL).  I worked in three elementary schools within two districts in Nassau county. I tutored one on one and in groups within each classroom. I worked in various grades including Kindergarten, 4th grade, 5th and 6th grade special needs classrooms. During those years is when I really fell in love with teaching! My expertise and specialty is speech, reading, comprehension, study skills including memorization and new to writing learner's, with a focus on fine motor skills for the youngest and children that need extra help with their sounds.
