I am looking for a full-time summer position. I can start end of June. I live in Carmel, NY but am willing to travel. I have my own car, as well. I believe I have a great deal of patience and I put my heart into everything I do. I am responsible and flexible with times/schedules. Being in a school setting, I've had to deal with many different situations and have learned how to deal with them successfully and in an effective way. I'm 26 years old and graduated from graduate school for elementary education (K-6). I went to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT for undergrad and grad school. I received my Master's Degree for Elementary Education. I interned and student taught in Darien, CT. I taught in Kindergarten and absolutely loved it. I currently teach at an elementary school in Mahopac. I've been working with children ever since I was 13, whether it was babysitting or working at a day camp. I worked at a day camp for 3 summers and worked with children ages 5 & 6. I hope to teach Kindergarten or 1st grade in the future. I've worked for several different types of families in the past. I've babysat for as many as 5 kids at once, ranging from infant to 12 years old (I've also had experience with pets of all kinds!). I have many younger cousins and 2 younger siblings that I've babysat for and that has provided me with additional experience! I love doing arts and crafts and being outdoors with the kids. I love being creative! If you need a fun, easy-going, caring, responsible and flexible babysitter, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

Lori was amazing and our kids really enjoyed spending time with her and even asked for her to come look after them again which is rare. She is clearly a kind and thoughtful person and really engaged with the kids with through conversation’s and games and even brought some arts and craft projects which was a nice touch. With a high energy son and a more quiet and artsy daughter it can be a challenge to keep both entertained and Lori did this brilliantly. We will definitely be reaching out again when we need help.

Hi there! I am a mom of a 4.5 year old girl, have been nannying and babysitting for the past 3 years full time and I am also a licensed art educator. I have worked with kids of all ages and am 39 years old so I’ve been around a long time and know exactly how to handle any situation that may arise. I am a kid at heart as well and love to engage in play, art making, nature, and general fun :). I have been in many homes and can easily learn the way you and your family and home operate. If I’m nannying, my 4.5 year old can come with me and she makes a great play mate. If I’m babysitting at night she would not be with me. She is in preschool and will be in kindergarten next year so she will be in school during school hours. I am a nature enthusiast and know a lot about plants and animals and I am always down to do crafts! I am passionate about getting to know each child individually and help them thrive. I will follow all of your routines and keep things as seamless as possible. I am kind, compassionate, emotionally intelligent, fun, and practice gentle parenting but have firm boundaries and do not practice permissive parenting. I am fond of turning things into a game or a song to make things go smoothly. I have worked in public school and a nature homeschool program and have worked with babies through high school. I understand being nervous about leaving your child with someone else and can assure you that I’d feel safe and comfortable leaving my daughter in the hands of someone like myself. I have formed deep friendships with the kids and families I have worked with over the years and they would be happy to speak with you if you need a reference! I hope to meet you and your beautiful family some day and to help take care of the most precious person in your life.

Julia Nannied and babysat for our family for a year. She was excellent with our two girls. Our youngest was 2 and our oldest was 5 when Julia started. Our youngest is almost 4 and our oldest almost 7. Julia is highly reliable and responsive always showing up on time and confirming the details in advance. She’s very responsible and extremely fun and creative with our kids and in facilitating and supervising play. She was also flexible willing to adjust times, days, pick up and drop off plans etc to meet our needs. Julia is also a very kind and interesting person and my husband and I always enjoy our time chatting with Julia. I would highly recommend her as a nanny or babysitter!

"As a babysitter, I have provided attentive and nurturing care for children of various ages, ensuring their safety and well-being while engaging them in fun and educational activities. My role involved preparing meals, helping with homework, and creating a structured yet flexible routine to meet each child's needs. At Bright Horizons, I worked as a teacher, where I utilized my CDA certification to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that fostered a love for learning. I focused on creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. My experience at Bright Horizons has equipped me with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with children and their families." “I’m currently working in Bright Horizons at Poughkeepsie as a lead teacher in infant and preschool classroom”

Amira was a pleasure to work with and we would not hesitate to work with her again. We had two evenings of wedding events in Beacon, NY, and Amira took care of our two boys (9 and 7 years old) during this time. When we started looking for a sitter, she was very responsive to all our messages, and helped make the process easy. She completed the background check immediately, and hopped onto a call ahead of time for a quick interview. She arrived on time on both days. It's easy to see that she likes spending time with kids. I recommend her without any hesitation.

Hello parents, my name is Meghann. I have been working in childcare for a year and a half now. My first job as a nanny was with a big family of four children aged 4 months old, 3, 5, and 10 years old. After that, I moved on to work at a two daycare the first daycare i work at was working with in infants and toddler but I was bouncing around to preschool whenever they need with the second daycare i work at is at home daycare i work with the same group of kids with the previous of daycare i work. I also work with kids that have special needs, both toddlers. Other than that I do activities including arts and crafts, outdoor play, music and movement, story time, and structured learning activities like puzzles, memory match games, and building blocks. I also do have CPR and first aid certification that wouldn't expire until 2027 and some early childhood education and training programs. In my job people would ask me what interests me working with children. It's because working with children can be incredibly rewarding, as it involves fostering growth, sparking creativity, and building meaningful relationships, all while making a positive impact on young lives. I find immense joy in helping them learn and grow.
