I worked as a certified nursing assistant in Colombia for 7 years, including 4 years in pediatric hospitalization. In 2021, I moved to the U. S. through a cultural exchange program and cared for a 2-year-old girl for one year. In 2022, I moved to Rochester, NY, and started working as a full-time nanny for a 2-month-old baby. I am currently a second-year doctoral student in the school psychology and counseling program at the University at Buffalo. I specialize in working with children and adolescents. Before starting graduate school, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where I worked with children and teenagers to help them develop emotion regulation and coping skills using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed approaches. In addition to my professional experience, I have years of informal babysitting experience caring for younger cousins and neighborhood children.
