I am a 42-year-old wife, mom of three teenagers, and an experienced and nurturing childcare provider of over 10 years who is making the switch from owning my own in-home daycare to providing nanny and household management services. I have extensive experience with caring for multiple children, from birth through adolescence. I am currently in my senior year at Empire State University and am finishing a B.S. in Human Development, which includes extensive studying of birth through adolescent development and beyond, with particular attention to early attachment theory of infants and toddlers. I am very capable, motherly, confident, loving, calm in hectic situations, reassuring in times of struggle and have extensive homemaking skills such as cooking, housekeeping, organizing, multitasking, managing multiple hectic schedules, sewing, and crafting. I love creating activities for little ones that are both educational and FUN! In addition to my childcare experience, I have experience with homeschooling multiple children across different grade levels in NY and am knowledgeable regarding the state oversight process for homeschooling. I am passionate about early literacy skills, and I believe that play is the earliest way that young children learn. I love reading aloud while acting out stories and dramatic play. I'm looking for a wonderful family to help support as they raise their own children, now that mine are grown and no longer need Mama as much. I treat every child as my own and believe in child-led practices and anticipating cues for comfort or feeding. I have much experience handling both formula and breastmilk, introducing solids, young child nutrition and my top goal is to anticipate rather than mitigate when it comes to needs like feeding and comforting.

I’m a recent college graduate with a Crimonology Bachelors and Psychology minor. I have been babysitting for all ages since I was a teenager! I also have a couple years of nursing classes, so my knowledge there is also applicable. If allowed, I have a very reliable car, love taking the kids for a day out at the library, park, museum, etc. I excel in infants, ages 3 and under- but I am open to all ages and pets!
