My name is Kara Moody. I recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. I will be taking one year off from my graduate studies before returning to school. I have been babysitting for families for about 4 years now and when I saw your job posting I thought that it might be the perfect position for me. I have experience with all age ranges of children but especially infant-12 years as the families I have babysat for the most often have had children in those age ranges including boys and girls. I enjoy being hands on with children while interacting with them and learning the things they enjoy to do which helps pass the time while their parents are away more enjoyable for them. Some things I enjoy doing are arts/crafts, reading, being in the outdoors, and cooking. I enjoy cooking healthy meals for the little ones and if old enough letting them become hands on as well. Aside from all of this I enjoy taking children to the park, the zoo, the pool, and COSI if allowed by the parents. Thank you for reviewing my profile and please feel free to reach out.

I've been babysitting, animal sitting, tutoring, and more since I was 11. Even before that I used to help my mom and our neighbors as much as possible! I love learning and how much children can teach you, as well as how much school and solo learning information I can get when I put my mind to it. I graduated as valedictorian, and took as many AP and IB HL classes as I could. I am fluent in Latin and also know sporadic bits of German, ASL, Russian, Spanish, and any other language I can get my hands on. I took calculus as well as higher level science, English, history, and language classes and love engaging with kids, animals, elderly, and more to try to spread my knowledge as well as get knowledge from them where I can! I'm also used to medically complex kiddos and work in an ICU!

Hello! My name is Janiel, and I’m a caring, dependable, and energetic sitter with a genuine passion for working with children. I have hands-on experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, and I love creating safe, fun, and engaging environments where kids can learn and grow. I’m certified in CPR and First Aid, and I’m confident in handling emergencies with calmness and care. I have experience with meal preparation, light housekeeping, diaper changes, homework help, and bedtime routines. I’m also comfortable with pets, and I don’t mind lending a hand with school drop-offs/pickups or occasional errands if needed. I enjoy planning creative activities—whether that’s arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time, or learning games—so kids stay entertained while also building new skills. Most importantly, I value open communication with parents and consistency with family routines, so you can feel confident your child is well cared for. My goal is to provide dependable childcare that gives parents peace of mind and children a safe, supportive, and fun space. I look forward to meeting your family and becoming a trusted part of your child’s life!

Janiel was such a great help to me and my daughter when I needed a sitter urgently, this was my second time with her and she has always been reliable and nurturing towards my baby girl. These days it’s really hard to find trustworthy and reliable sitters who you know will take care of your child and that was always a concern for my husband and I. Thank you for being such an attentive individual. I totally recommend her services. ??

I started babysitting at the young age of 10. I then became a Sunday School teacher in my church. During college, I worked as a teacher's assistant in the OSU child care center. I have a bachelors in early childhood development and have achieved my masters in education. I worked as a pre-k teacher, kindergarten teacher, and substituted for grades pre-k to 12th grade. People have always said I have a special gift with children. I enjoy helping your child develop emotionally, mentally, and physically.

I interviewed Rachel to watch my daughter while on vacation on Maui and she was just super pleasant and obviously very, very seasoned. She knew her stuff and interviewed better than any other nanny - she had excellent communication skills and I felt confident that she would be able to watch my daughter. She was the only one who told me that she didn't feel comfortable sitting for us unless she met our baby first, and she is 100% right that this is the way to go. Otherwise, the plan was to have a sitter come in and watch her while she slept and pray she doesn't wake up -- Rachel noted in an instance that this worked out poorly for the family and I'm grateful for that advice. That being said, due to scheduling issues (not ours), it didn't work out. I was really, really hoping it could work out, but she is an in-demand nanny and though we had asked her to pencil us in for one night, she got booked through her agency (only reason I dock a star - she told me she would pencil me in and I told her I'd hire her). Otherwise, it is worth noting that she is probably one of the most qualified nannies here on SitterCity that I spoke to on Maui (I interviewed 5 or 6) and if you can get her and lock her in so she doesn't double-book, you should. You would otherwise pay a higher rate to get her from the agency. Hopefully it works out next time!

As a nanny during the week I do everything for my nanny family from managing their households to caring for and cooking for their children. At this time I am working as a nanny during the week so I am unavailable during the day m-f. I have experience as a nanny with ages 1-12 and experience working in child care centers as an infant teacher, wobbler/toddler teacher and as a 2's teacher. I am available to do everything from babysitting on evenings to weekends to some overnights. I have worked with children who have special needs including the autism spectrum and also have worked with twins of all ages. Also- a little bit about me. I am 28 and have been nannying on and off for 6 years and have also worked full time in child care centers and schools for 6 years. I am a mom to two beautiful daughters who I do not bring with me to babysitting jobs and a wife to my partner of 8 years. I have brightly colored hair and love to play outside and go on adventures. :) References available after interview or hire, I don't want my references to be overwhelmed by calls. Thank you for understanding.

This was my first time hiring someone from sitter city and it worked out great! My regular nanny couldn't sit 4th of July weekend, so I posted a job and Amanda was the first one to reply. She came by the next evening for an interview. I found her to be very knowledgeable and got along great with my son. She also had experience with cloth diapers and has children of her own which was a plus. She sat for us two days in a row. Took my son to the park, read, and played with him. She also made sure to document everything he ate, when she changed him and his nap times. When I came home my 7 month old was happy and giddy. I will definitely hire Amanda again and recommend her to friends.

I hold degrees and social work and child welfare. I have extensive knowledge of children development, having been been an educator from infants through Elementary ages. My attitude is fun and hardworking at the same time! I'm a ray of sunshine who gets the job done. I come from a family of 11 children and family means everything to me. I've also worked extensively with the disabled and elderly, so I'm extremely compassionate and patient. I'm hoping to blend seamlessly into a family's lifestyle to help everyday go a little better when possible.

Knowing Janet was a blessing for our whole family! We met her as an infant teacher for our son at KinderCare, and she was there for the next two siblings as well! She was a stellar sitter when we needed her, complete with a fun bag of activities. The kids are all older now, but we all geow and learn and appreciate those years and special helpers like Janet!

I have been babysitting for 10 years and for the past year I worked full-time as a nanny. I love reading, music, and the outdoors. I was a lifeguard/ swim instructor in high school and college so I am both CPR certified and willing to help kids learn about water safety and improve their swimming skills.

Hi, I’m Lisa. I raised three children on my own, and they’re now successful adults. I also have experience in regular daycare settings and in-home childcare, which gives me a solid, real-world understanding of children at every stage. I’m calm, patient, and attentive. I handle routines, transitions, and big emotions with consistency and common sense. I engage with children, and focus on creating a safe, steady, and supportive environment. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, a non-smoker, and a non-drinker. I have a background check and references available. I enjoy cooking and baking with children and using time in the kitchen as a fun learning experience. Baking naturally teaches measuring, counting, and following directions, while cooking together encourages responsibility and creativity. I’m also a magazine-published cook, and I’m happy to prepare dinner for families when needed. Children are welcome to help if they’re interested. I’m comfortable providing date-night care, overnights, and extended care including weekends. I’m also very comfortable with pets and happy to help with basic pet care. I’m flexible with my schedule and work closely with parents to accommodate their needs. I respect your home, your routines, and your expectations. If you’re looking for experienced, dependable childcare from someone who truly understands children and brings added value to your home, I’d be happy to connect.
