I love being a babysitter because I truly enjoy helping and taking care of others. I aspire to become a pediatric nurse, so helping people and providing care has always was been something that I’m passionate about. I know that parents sometimes just need a little extra support or time to themselves, and I enjoy being someone that parents can trust to keep their children safe, protected, and happy during that time. I have a lot of experience being the oldest of six younger siblings. I started babysitting my siblings when I was about eight years old, and as I got older, family friends and community members began asking me to babysit their kids as well. I also have experience with special care: my baby sister was born premature and had a g-tube, so I learned how to help feed her and daily care. She later developed epilepsy and I grew to understand her medication regimen and how to help her safely. Through these experiences, I’ve cared for kids ranging from different ages, and I’m comfortable handling routines, meals, homework, and play. As for skills, I have CPR and First Aid training, which gives me confidences to respond in truly any type of emergency. That, and having seven siblings. I have been responsible for children ages infant to school age. I have 18+ years working in daycares and preschools, and have been working at a school for autistic children since 2023. I have an 18 year old daughter that just graduated highschool and is beginning her college career at MVNU! Therefore, I have plenty of free time.
