My youngest brother was special needs and required a lot of medical assistance. I decided to further my background within the special needs community as I’ve been a direct service care supervisor for individuals with developmental disabilities for the last couple years. Working within my brother’s community and just caring for kids in general has been the most fulfilling work I’ve done. I also nannied for a mother, caring for her five year old daughter while she was away at work for a year. Responsibilities included meal prep, assisting in hygiene, engaging in school activities, and keeping an upstanding living environment.
