I started when the boy was 4 wks old and they now have a new baby I take care of 1 day per week. My mom had a home daycare so I have been taking care of children most of my life. I enjoy getting to know the kids and giving them someone else to love them. I believe children need many different people in their lives who love them and want the best for them. The 7 yr old still tells me he needs me to “rock a bye” him. I love that they are comfortable with me. They beg me to stay longer and I try to go to their school activities. The more people children have them who love them the better off they are and they will feel they always have someone they can talk to. These children have become like extra grandkids to me. I love knowing I have something I can do to help families who need someone to care for their children. I was raised close to my extended family and never had to leave my kids with an outsider and I want those that choose me to keep their children to feel like they have someone they can depend on who loves their children like their own
