My name is Makayla and I am 24 years old! I love sports and anything outdoors! I fell in love with kids during my middle school years! My mom was a stay at home mom, but during my middle school years she started nannying a 3 month old boy! I absolutely fell in love with helping my mom watch him! I have about 8 years of experience helping out my mom along with babysitting friends kids or younger cousins. I do have experience in special needs, particularly Tourette’s syndrome, OCD, ADD, ADH, sensory disorders as well as autism. My brother has severe OCD, Tourette’s syndrome and sensory disorders, along with 3 of my cousins so I know how to handle those kinds of situation extremely well from growing up with my brother and babysitting cousins. I will play barbies, cook, look up fun simple science experiments, do arts and crafts, tell stories, even sing songs (I have a ukulele, but make no promises regarding the quality of the singing--I'm no Julie Andrews.) I've taught full time for fifteen years years, PreK-high school--primarily art but also English, and history. I have also nannied for several families over the years and still keep in touch with the families I nannied for. I just got married and moved to the area. I have five nieces and nephews ages 6-14 who I love dearly and spend time with whenever I can. I have often stayed with them for long periods of time and help out their mom with all the things! My CPR certification recently expired but I've been CPR and Wilderness first responder Certified in the past few years. I'm also very comfortable with pets.

I'm Shelby! I'm a mom of one- she's two years old now and her name is Lily Jo. She loves to play with others. In the past years I've watch numerous families children including 2 month olds up to 12 year olds. I graduated in 2015 and was a student at CPAVTS for two years where I was a teacher for preschool aged students and also was involved in child development classes throughout my high school career. Lily and I do daily activities such as coloring, age appropriate crafts and activities as well as trips to Paulus farms.
