My experience as a childcare worker is extensive. I have been a nanny, babysitter, household assistant, pet-sitter, and caregiver. I come from a big family growing up with 7 other siblings in the household. I'm the oldest daughter of 5 other siblings. Being the oldest daughter came with a lot of responsibilities. Growing up throughout the years I spent those periods being the surrogate parent to my younger siblings, always being on call for my mother 24/7/365. Watching over kids started when I would do little babysitting jobs for my mothers friends, while they worked or went out, and that's when I knew I was good with kids, and loved being around them. I am First Aid and CPR certified, I also took 2 Childhood Development classes in 10th and 11th grade. Life with children can be unpredictable and I know I'm able to adapt to the situations they face. I also worked in a senior living facility for about 1 1/2 years. I have taken care of three cats, but love all animals. I worked as a community assistant (ca/ra) for about two years on campus, so I’m really good at managing emotions, creating fun activities, and crafts.
