I've been in childcare since I was twelve years old, eighteen entire years! I used to babysit for my mom and dad, as the oldest sibling in my family of seven children. Friends from our community knew I was good with the little kids and asked for me to come and watch theirs, and it all snowballed from there. I've worked in church daycares, at summer camps, for six families as a private child caretaker, in schools as a teacher's assistant and more. I am comfortable working with autism spectrum kids, too, since my a lot of my family are on the spectrum. That's actually how I met my first nanny kiddo; he was on the spectrum and we became friends at the shop I worked at when his mom and he would come in to eat. His mom came in one day and said he loved me and their nanny had to go, so could she pay me a dollar more than what I was getting paid now and full time? It was all very kismet. I worked for them full time for about a year after until I moved. I am super creative but also super responsible. I like the balance of art and productivity. I love making lists and checking them off: it gives me a sense of purpose and calm and tangible proof that I'm making moves in the right direction. I am alllll about finding creative ways to be kind and handle any kind of upset with empathy and compassion and compromise. Not even lots of crying stresses me out; I just view it as another avenue of processing in a big world that kids have, among many others, of getting their feelings out when they feel they can't properly express it with their language. I like to find things to do to change the mood when things like that come up, like a game or a trip, instead of letting them get too stuck in the upset. Or sometimes we sing the Breathing Song from Esme and Roy! My biggest strength as a nanny is my commuication skills with parents. I want to work alongside you as another team member and an advocate for your family! I'm there to make your guys' lives all a little easier. If there's anything to do that would make that happen, I more than want to hear about it and it means so much to me when it's expressed. I show my love and care for people through acts of service, so that's always been a great source of pride for me. I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own car and am currently working for two families. I started working with their children since they were 6 months and 8 months and they're now both almost 2 and 3.

Hi my name is Yasmine! Growing up in England, I gained valuable experience caring for I've babysat and tutored for children of various ages and backgrounds through connects from the London community. I have been on Care but I’ve recently made a page on SitterCity to see if I can catch on some hidden gems to care for! My first experience with children began with caring baby cousins from newborn infancy to their current age of 11. Through my auntie's guidance, I learned essential skills such as changing, feeding, and burping. As they grew older, I actively engaged them in age-appropriate activities, often incorporating our shared love for playing games. Being an artsy and creative individual, I have no trouble coming up with last-minute activities to keep children entertained. Currently, I am pursuing my own goals and I am eager to find a part-time position that complements them. With a reliable and caring nature, I am confident in my ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your family. I’m CPR/First Aid certified, have reliable transportation, and can provide references upon request. I’m confident managing multiple children, supporting routines, and creating engaging days full of creativity, structure, and care. Fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi, I’m happy to work with diverse families and cultural preferences. Please contact me to speak further! I am willing to travel.

Hello, I'm Chelsea! I'm a career nanny and have been a professional nanny for the past eight years, but I've been working with children for over 20 years. I also have very thorough background checks available. I am an outgoing, kind, compassionate people person. I excel at communication, reliability, flexibility, and patience. I believe in empowering my families so they can live their best lives at their preferred pace. I enjoy light housework-I'm a bit of a laundry wizard. Running errands is one of my super powers! I also enjoy meal prep, cooking, and baking for my nanny families. Spending time with children is my passion, and their care is always my number one priority! I am passionate about education and learning. I also do not utilize screen time unless specifically requested by parents. I think children learn best by play and discovery and I love to encourage curiosity. I believe a nanny is an extension of a family and helps empower the family as a unit. Hello. Up until recently, I had a childcare position with the same family for the last six years. I started caring for their little girl when she was 10 months old, and then their son when he was born. My responsibilities included general care as well as drop-offs and pick-ups from preschool and kindergarten. We enjoyed many visits to the library, Hands on House, and local parks. When they got older we enjoyed other outings like lunch at the diner and movie night complete with popcorn and jammies. We read many books together at nap time and anytime really. Fancy Nancy and Pig and Elephant were their favorites. However, like all good things, we've come to a new beginning. The children have outgrown a nanny as they are now attending their first year of school. Although it breaks my heart to leave them, I'm happy to see that they're are healthy and embarking on their educational journey. I like to call myself a hands-on nanny. I like to get to know the children I care for and treat them as if they were my own. I'm a firm believer in gentle discipline and lots of praise. I am looking for a full-time long term position
