Hi everyone! I have been a full-time child care provider for seven years. I taught children's Sunday School for eight years and was a Cub Scout leader for five years. I currently work with multiple families on an as-needed basis. I try to live my life in a way that I can be a positive male role model to the children around me. I enjoy working with children and getting down to their level to play and learn. I try to avoid screen time, and encourage creativity and imagination. I can provide references upon request.

Hi! My name is Kayla (25). I am currently looking for occasional/weekend babysitting opportunities. A bit about me: I previously worked as behavior technician at an autism school (and in home with ASD children and families prior to that). In the last five years, I have also worked as a preschool teacher, nanny, and Soccer Shots coach (ages 2-10). I graduated from Messiah College in May of 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have lots of experience working with children and families, and would be happy to give you details and references! I am also adult, child, and infant CPR/first aid certified, and fully COVID vaccinated. I also have all of my clearances and would be happy to provide copies upon request. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks, Kayla

Children have always been a part of my life. I believe children are our future and nannying/working as a preschool teacher is a responsibility I take very seriously. It is very important that we are listening, talking, asking questions, answering their questions, engaging in creative child led activities, laughing , having fun and building their self esteem. I have worked as a private nanny in NYC and Pennsylvania. I have also worked in preschools in Pennsylvania, as well as an international preschool/kindergarten in Bangkok, Thailand. I am certified in a progressive teaching strategy, the Early Years Foundation Stages. I am certified in "Letters and Sounds", which is a phonics program for children learning to read and write. I have taken courses in Play based learning and also teacher enrichment classes for speech therapy. I have my associates degree in Human services. I also have my Cambridge teaching certificate , which I obtained while teaching English to Syrian refugees. I have a resume and reference letters I can send upon request

I've been in childcare since I was twelve years old, eighteen entire years! I used to babysit for my mom and dad, as the oldest sibling in my family of seven children. Friends from our community knew I was good with the little kids and asked for me to come and watch theirs, and it all snowballed from there. I've worked in church daycares, at summer camps, for six families as a private child caretaker, in schools as a teacher's assistant and more. I am comfortable working with autism spectrum kids, too, since my a lot of my family are on the spectrum. That's actually how I met my first nanny kiddo; he was on the spectrum and we became friends at the shop I worked at when his mom and he would come in to eat. His mom came in one day and said he loved me and their nanny had to go, so could she pay me a dollar more than what I was getting paid now and full time? It was all very kismet. I worked for them full time for about a year after until I moved. I am super creative but also super responsible. I like the balance of art and productivity. I love making lists and checking them off: it gives me a sense of purpose and calm and tangible proof that I'm making moves in the right direction. I am alllll about finding creative ways to be kind and handle any kind of upset with empathy and compassion and compromise. Not even lots of crying stresses me out; I just view it as another avenue of processing in a big world that kids have, among many others, of getting their feelings out when they feel they can't properly express it with their language. I like to find things to do to change the mood when things like that come up, like a game or a trip, instead of letting them get too stuck in the upset. Or sometimes we sing the Breathing Song from Esme and Roy! My biggest strength as a nanny is my commuication skills with parents. I want to work alongside you as another team member and an advocate for your family! I'm there to make your guys' lives all a little easier. If there's anything to do that would make that happen, I more than want to hear about it and it means so much to me when it's expressed. I show my love and care for people through acts of service, so that's always been a great source of pride for me. I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own car and am currently working for two families. I started working with their children since they were 6 months and 8 months and they're now both almost 2 and 3.
